Hi, its Charlie from Texas again. Hank Thompson died Nov. 6, 2007. I saw him in person several times--wonderful. Once, his band was to perform at a gig in Fort Worth at Panther Hall (long since gone). His band had bus problems, and didn't make it on time. The MC offered to play a film for the hour show (live TV days). Hank said "I started out with just my guitar, and I can still put on a show". He did. He was a hero of mine ever since. Your rendition does him honor.
    Charlie

Way before the time of both of you. This was my mother's favoutite song and she died in 1977. I still have her original copy on her 78 record. Well done "boys"

Happy memories of playing this one on the mouth-organ in the 1960's. Charlie, Aberdeen, Scotland

Nice. That is really encouraging! You could film you playing your bass with us and I can edit that video into us playing this and it can be a virtual trio if your interested!
