      "One trick ponys" win fights. Something that has proven true across all of MMA is that you only need to be good enough at everything to funnel the fight into what you are really good at. Every MMA fighter who tries to change things up or round out their skill sets starts seeing losses.

    Her wrestling is super impressive. She's just completely calm and gaining leverage while watching for opportunities for her opponent to make a wrong move. If she could get her counter striking totally down she would just be unstoppable. I feel when she gets as comfortable standing as she does grappling, she'll have the secret formula right there

    • @Newbtuber
      @Newbtuber 2 года назад +4

      She is a Judoka, she isnt a wrestler. She just relies on that Judo Hip toss variation to get her opponent down. A technique that is obsolete and bad because anyone with any knowledge in BJJ can easily reverse that position and get thrower back. This is why we rarely see it in men MMA and even when we do see it, it is used as a surprise tactic when the opponent is 100% unaware because if they are even slightly aware it is very easily defended and you take their back.
      If she follow this path on relying on this technique she will become like Ronda Roussey, Waterson or 80% of women fighters. They all became obsolete when they start facing opposition that actually are not bad. If she was a wrestler, she would shoot for double leg or single leg take down and she never once went for these. Judo throw does not = wrestling. Watch top class women fighter like Rose, Weilei, Johanna, Germaine and Nunes, they do not EVER go for this technique. Hallmark of a bad woman fighter is one that relies on it in every clinch exchange like how Hirata is doing now. Not a good sign

      Anderson should have kept her distance after that knock down. The spinning backfist followed up with that right hook, those two got Itsuki good.
