Contradicted pretty much looking at a clock, which the former instructor on this website specifically referred to; I agree that looking at the clock and trying to go to 3 o’clock or whatever it’s kind of a silly thing in the abstract and should not be used by instructors must be really know what they’re doing, and then of course the idea of the variable Casting must be gone. Just a constructive tip. I think it’s very important for any person who is going to speak to rehearse what she is going to say. That will often me writing or typing out what you’re going to say; standing in front of the mirror and singing it and repeating it out loud and perhaps even videotape yourself to see exactly how it comes out. I don’t suggest that you memorize a particular speech because you’re really needed to flow naturally. Many times you might have a beginning caster and so if you decide to use the clock, don’t go back-and-forth please but describe exactly why you’re going to use the clock - - for example, you might indicate that for 30 foot cast, with no wind, 1030 to 1230. The clock face may change even with a 30 foot. I think it is not wise to tell the beginning faster if it’s a very short cast, you do not need to pause. Castors must understand that there is always a “pause” on the upcast. I don’t need to seem critical of these guys and I certainly made a lot of mistakes in casting instructions but I given an excess of 10,000 lessons and so you learn as you teach and so you learn as you teach. Thank you for your advice - point well taken. Bob and I have been working on improving each video and comments from our viewers help with that process. Thanks again.
