I just got my Ohuhu nibs and changed out 2 blends. It worked!!! They’re like brand new and juicy. My granny apple and cherry cobbler. I immediately ordered 2 more packs to have in the house. Thank you , you brilliant woman
Thanks so much, Alisa. This is brilliant, helpful info. Saving! In the absence of better SU nibs, this is a really good option, and I feel like I can confidently change them over now.
Thank you so very much!!! I purchased the Ohuhu refill nib and put it in my blends. Wow, it was hard to get it in, but I persevered and finally was successful. I put the cap on and waited 3 or 4 minutes. Success! My previously destroyed nib now works beautifully. Thank you again. By the way, I LOVE your cards and suggestions; keep them coming. Kathleen
Thank you for this video! I thought I was the only one have all these issues and also learnt I have been replacing Blends when I could be replacing the tips! I was wondering why the bullet end would work and not the brush tip, when I store them on their sides.
Thank you for that. I’m getting so frustrated with my markers, I’m constantly buying new ones. I’m in the UK and have just found and ordered new tips from Amazon here.
Thank you I must try this. I do like my Stampin Up Blends but the tips are frustrating. Thank you!!! Unfortunately Amazon in the USA doesn't have the Ohuhu nibs available at this time. Guess I'll have to get my friends together and order from the Ohuhu store and save on shipping.
Well I'm hoping that they are working on better nibs behind the scenes. They improved the nibs on the Stampin Write Markers, hoping the Blends are next!
Would soaking the new nibs in alcohol blending solution make them receptive to the alcohol blending solution when you put them back in the marker. I’ve heard of some people adding both refill and alcohol blending solution into the barrel.
Hey Alisa, I think you might like to check out what the professionals are saying about the Ohuhu markers which are totally different in their nib construction. Copic actually has a design fault in theirs which often makes replacing the nib necessary when trying to just refill. The full length of the Ohuhu nib comes into contact with the paper when the Copic often pushes up at the end. Here's a video that might help: ruclips.net/video/qcvULj_DPvU/видео.html
super! I vowed never to buy their markers again because of this glad to hear they are working on it. Meanwhile this is a great fix! Thank you
Always pull the brush ends towards you vs pushing away and it helps to keep this from happening in the first place.

Just did my first pair - so easy, and they work SO much better. Thank you!!

sort of need to push and twist at the same time.
Thanks so much for this tip. I have stopped buying blends due to the terrible nibs. I am going to try this. Ang
You are so welcome!
Answer to much frustration...I bought some nibs but was nervous- I now have the courage to try. Thank you!
Thank you for your sharing your knowledge and talent. Yay!
You are so welcome! I'll post about my findings on the nibs I have coming too
THANK YOU!!! You have saved me so much $$ going forward!

This is super helpful Alisa! Thank You!!
This was super helpful! I’ve saved it for future reference

Keep an eye on them, they often come back.
COPIC nibs are fantastic❗❗❗
Thank you! Stampin up should make these available?
If we bought them from Stampin Up they would be much more expensive.

I haven't tried, it might make them soft. the blending solution also dilutes the ink inside, so it would make them lighter.
Thank you great job thanks
Thanks, I know it's probably naughty, but if it helps me get more use out of my blends, I'm up for it
Hi Alisa,
Can you tell me where you provided the links for these nibs, please.
Thankyou....xx
www.alisatilsner.com/blog/alisa-recommends/ I've got another brand in the post to try out too!
Thanks Alisa. Sadly the Ohuhu are out of stock. I'd love to know the other brand you have coming....@@AlisaTilsner
@@janemarshall5025 I got them, but they are too small. I couldn’t tell from the picture, but they are a pointed fine tip, but way too thin.
With those you were replacing, can you turn them around and use the other end?
Apparently the Ohuhu ones you can turn around and use the other end. Not the Copics
@@AlisaTilsner Thanks Alisa
Thanks, it’s so frustrating to pick up your blend that you have hardly used and the tip is frayed.
yep, it's an issue that needs to be looked at. hopefully they are working on it. in the mean time, I'll be doing this
Can you add ink like you added the alcohol?
the ink is water based so I don't think adding ink will help.

Yes, I watched that one about a month ago, and purchased the Ohuhu Nibs to try them.
