    This is great! Superman lives on, he has his fathers mannerisms and looks like him too. What an articulate man. More power to him and the great work he is doing.

    Wow. He looks like his father! What a life Will has had. By the time he was around 13-14, he was already an orphan; that’s especially a hard age to lose your parents. But the family friends/neighbors that raised him clearly did a great job: he seems so well rounded!

      OK but he's propagating the same bullshit - that people whose spinal cord has been severed will walk again.
      So far there's no such evidence.
      Check with Charles Krauthammer M.D., a spinal cord-injury victim who said anyone who claims otherwise is being disingenuous.

    As a C-6,7 quadriplegic I have to deal with a LOT of the problems. I get constant UTI's, bowel problems, osteomyelitis, and pressure sores for the last 8 years. I'm extremely active as a high functioning quad. I luckily have full use of my arms, but 50% hands. I was so sorry to hear about your dad Will. Im 40 yrs old and grew up with him in the theatres as Superman. My prayers is that this will get off the ground and be able to help average people like myself. I remember when it first came out, but was saddened to hear how it wasn't covered under insurance. How is it fair that we pay into insurance, but something that can save our lives isn't covered. Insurance companies spend $1,000's of dollars over the years for complications we deal with from being paralysed, but not a dime for preventative. Sorry for venting. Great video

      @Todd Corey
      I truly appreciate where You are coming from and Your feelings about the Insurance Co. Not covering preventative and more. Do you know How people who have spinal cord injury are able to get the "stimulator" if Their Insurance Co. doesn't cover it? I'm praying You are closer to being able to get that life saving/changing Stimulator.
      Hopeful that You are on Your way to a life changing experience with the ability to live a full and even better life. Don't ever give up the fight and stay strong!
      Best Wishes My Friend.

      Will reeve should be the new Superman. Why? because his father was Superman? ( That's not a good reason to cast Will in the reboot) and that's certainly not the way to honor his father by attempting to recreate a moment in time Christopher had already established himself. (Will is his own man and lives his life differently out of the Hollywood realm, while his impact is felt mostly through his work in finding a cure for paralysis, that's where he's needed the most.) That's what matters.

    It's so sad....He should have lived longer, he was making recoveries. He made so much progress, so much more than expected. And for an infection to take that away, really sucks....

    • @sharonjensen3016
      @sharonjensen3016 3 года назад

      I know Christopher Reeve should have lived longer, but he managed two more years than the average (seven years) predicted for those with his level of spinal injury.

    • @94champs
      @94champs Год назад

      The problem wasn't the infection. The issue was that Mr. Reeve was left in a very vulnerable state after his accident. As sad as it is to say this, it is not surprising that a simple infection was something he could not overcome. It's actually more surprising that he lived as long as he did after his accident.

He still walks the town every day, although now he uses a stick, because of his neck injury... I really believe that electricity could be a possible solution... we are all electrical beings really, believe it or not... our brains send electrical signals to the body to make the body react, honestly.. I can type with my fingers now, Will... I am keeping this body this time ok .except for the fact that my boiler broke down 60 days ago... ouch.
