When "That'll Be the Day" topped the US and UK singles charts in September 1957, I was 2 months short of my 15th Birthday! I still have all Buddy Holly's singles. Having watched all six dinghy building videos, I look forward to the next one. I hope the Thames floods at Bourne End did not inundate your shelter. Best wishes.
It's a terrific song, hope it brings happy memories for you! My taste in music has always been out of tune (pardon the pun) with my age - I love the songs of the 40s and 50s (as you can probably guess from the music I've been using in the videos...). The floods did not make it across the railway line - but unfortunately one of the storms with 80mph gusts lifted my tent out of the ground and smashed it into a tree, so I have had to replace it.
