- Uncle Si recalls how a young Phil Robertson greeted an uninvited and unwelcome visitor to his seedy motel room. Si and Stone went hunting with BK, and unexpectedly, her deer "came back to life." Si is convinced Jase is three-quarters wood duck. Jay excites Si and John-David with a story of a "large black cat" running in the woods. Godwin and Jay give great advice on how to split up chores around the house, and John-David has an important message about not taking time for granted.

Gentlemen, pheasant shooting is some of the best fun you can have in the woods. It's like a duck shoot but without getting your britches wet. Highly recommended.

at least bk is doing better than me, ive been hunting central and northern new York for 13 years and have only seen 1 deer while hunting. seems like the deer migrate around here

Yeah we have been in the hotel intruder, three days before Christmas. Our room was double booked. We found what they were beating on the door wanting. We found it under the pillow. Never seen this crap, wasn't sure if it was what it looked like from TV. But when they beat on that door and yelled you in my room for the third time. My husband opened the door and said this is what y'all are looking for and it's all there. So don't think that you are safe in a five star hotel that this couldn't happen. It took four deputies just to get me in the truck to get me the hound dog out of there. I took my happy tail back to the country.

I remember when the deer population in Mississippi got low & folks had to use tags to hunt. Then the population returned with a vengeance so bad there wasn’t enough food for the deer & they started stripping the bark off trees as high as they could reach. This led to a problem with the logging industry as so many trees were dying because of the deer. Tags were abolished & you could hunt as many deer as you could. Then we had an overpopulation of beaver. It got so bad the Game & Fish Commission was flying over in helicopters dropping dynamite on beaver dams (not thinking about the secondary dams) & they paid $10 for every beaver tail brought in. The balance between nature & man is tenuous & must be constantly monitored & adjusted. We have learned a lot but have a long way to go to achieve balance. Hunters have led the way to achieving balance. Ask Ducks Unlimited.

Steve "N' Seagulls aren't from Kentucky, my brothers. They're from Finland. Which somehow endears them a little more to me, like Sunwook Kim out of Korea. Both from far away, but embracing a style that is undeniably American.
(Y'all can look up Sunwook Kim Running Out of Whiskey and hear what I mean.)
We have a beautiful wide spread 10pt rack. He's but all energy into his rack and lacks body growth. Then there's an 8pt with the body. Also a white doe who I hope no one shots.
