Not gonna lie, after the teak these sound kinda small. Maybe it's some different micing since it almost sounds like it has a hi-pass in the low frequencies. The jazz sound is beautiful, really fits the bill, and the switch up between the tunings really is quite awesome.
Love these drums! I have an old Slingerland Marching snare, used as a floor tom. Single tension. The bottom head cranks up much higher than the top/the tension between the two is not even. Does that happen with A&F? Any tuning tips, head usage, or explanation for this? Thanks : )
Use the same thickness heads top and bottom and the tension will be the same. Adjust your reso to achieve the relationship between the two heads that you want. Simple.
Yes as Jon stated, the hoops have small "l" marks to indicate proper repositioning when changing heads! BUT don't let that stop you from trying all kinds of wacky positions!!!
Wow thats pretty cool

One day. One day, my wife will let me have an acoustic kit in the house. When that happens, I'll be calling A&F.

@@RustyKnorr Thanks, I'll give that a try. Cheers!
How do you maintain consistent, equal spacing with the tension rods?
Probably small markings on the hoops.
