Spokane has a "waste to energy" plant where they burn waste products to make electricity. They have filters at the top to help cut down on emissions too. Why don't more cities do this?? It makes total sense......
I agree that people need to change how they buy! Whenever I see the apocalypse like photos of mountains of thrown out clothing? It makes me wonder why these fabrics can’t be easily utilized. For example what if everything that wasn’t good enough to donate went to factories which shredded, treated and made the excess textiles into something like inexpensive insulation for multiple purposes! Or even an inexpensive type of stuffing for some furniture or things like dog beds……so many options! I wonder if between people choosing their clothing for longevity, (I’ve always thought clothing that stands up well to the washer & dryer and fits to flatter your own personal body type & style is far superior to dressing to the latest weekly trends! If people were more concerned about waste and corporations realized the potential cost effectiveness of utilizing free materials? I wonder if that could make a difference?
Don’t understand why people spend money to buy s*** from Shein. Then throw it away bc it’s falling apart. Then buy more s*** from Shein. I buy quality and wear it for as long as I can.
No shot. I’ve been wearing the same clothes for about 12 years now. People are disgusting these days.

Same generation marching hysterically behind Greta Thunberg, screaming about net zero. The disconnect is mind blowing! 🤯
That's why ethical brands like Allbirds are a good alternative.
