Hi, thanks for the video, do you think on this model it’s possible to drain the coolant without taking off the bottom shield/plate? Is there a hole on there which the the drain can pour through? Appreciate it thanks
Cheers for making this, just picked up a 2011 2.2 cdti and planning on doing the same maintenance, with the coolant change is it just a simple case of removing the plug, draining and refilling? I've seen on forums people saying about starting the car after refilling and putting the AC on full blow with the top cap off to help get rid of any air bubbles and refilling as necessary, is that not required then? Also can I just ask, my engine bay looks the same as yours, is there another expansion tank somewhere else in the car that requires to be filled with coolant or is it just the tank on top?
Am I right in saying this method only flushes the radiator as well and not any coolant in the engine block? Do you think draining just the rad and replacing it with new coolant would be sufficient to mix with any left over old coolant in the block and renew it so to speak?
Nice video will sure be a help to someone. 👍
