This is one of the best seminar explanations of women’s menopause risks and polyps. I have a polyp that has bled consistently over the last 12 weeks with a break of 1 week. So the general doctor when I asked about cancer risk distinctly said I had a low risk of uterine cancer - but what he says is that u\s does not show the global picture. And even though my mother had fibroids and ensuing pre cancerous cells and a hysterectomy as she could not take the HRT. She took oestrogen and it helped her get through the years. She is obese now and disabled with high blood pressure and depression. This consultant here is amazing and I wish he was my consultant surgeon here. Brought tears to my eyes listening to this. I wish I had studied science at my school and gone into gynae. This is the most interesting area of biology as women change constantly. So from what this male doctor said just because the ultrasound does not show initial cancer lesions does not mean there is not carcinomas….and was my uterus thicker due to bleeding or is it because of something sinister. So do the ultrasound at the end of the bleed. We need to see it under 4mm on continuous therapy. My doctor said 5mm. This has answered my questions. I can’t use progesterone to shrink a polyp as there are no progesterone receptors only estrogen receptors. Why could not my doctor explain this? I can’t take tamoxifen because of blood clots neither drugs for osteopenia as I am 2.5 in my neck and lumbar. My doctors are not addressing the diseases that come with menopause as my gran had 3 hip replacements privately due to osteoporosis and died of Alzheimer’s and lived in misery for 15 years. It is so very important to be detailed and accurate. I would make a fantastic menopause and gynae consultant. Why didn’t t my mother insist I study science. They did not have it at my school. I love this ! I m 60. The medical profession speak intelligently about our conditions. So open and dedicated.
Sadly, this video isn’t meant for us lay people, but got out to us anyway. I worked in the finance department of a hospital and used to attend conferences that were intended only for medical staff for the free food lol, but found the things that I learned to be extremely fascinating. They even talked about how they kept certain things from patients, and how they found things in studies that they didn’t put into practice because the medical profession needs to go through so many boards and conventions that it takes years to make changes in procedure even when there is evidence that the current procedures are definitely doing damage to patients. In other words, the only way to get real information is to advocate for ourselves, do our own research, and demand 2nd and 3rd opinions. Because doctors aren’t going to share that information with us willingly.
What about women who never stop bleeding? No one ever discusses what it means when women reach the end of their 50s who still have a monthly period, and why that might be. At what age should a woman have completely stopped their period, and if they haven't, something is definitely wrong?
I have two children . I used lupe contraceptive for the last 9 years. after though away I get pregnance but abort for six weak. After than I do no get period for the last 8 years, what medicine should I take please help me
