    Great tutorial, thanks so much! :) I used 5mm cord like you and followed the instructions very closely, but for some reason my cords were too short -- I had to use way longer cords for all the parts. Also, my bag turned out somewhat bigger than yours it seems :D Maybe I did not tie the knots as tight as you so then I ran out of cord. Just a heads up for others to maybe use a bit longer cords :) The next bag I will try to make with 4mm to see if that helps :)

    • @nodinni
      @nodinni  2 года назад +3

      Thank you for your feedback. 🙏 I made this video with my best intentions and I am very sorry that my measurements didn't worked out for you. I will take that into consideration and try to make a note for the others not to have the same problem. I guess the reason you ran out of cords may be the type of the cord you used and also as you said, the tension of your knots. I appreciate that you shared your experience with us and hopefully we get to learn something from it.
      I wish you a wonderful day! ❤️

      Hey @tatjakolehmainen4103 how many meters of cord you've used total? Likh 50meters or more?

    • @loristappert9729
      @loristappert9729 9 месяцев назад +1

      I used 3mm 3 strand twisted cord since that was the only cord I had enough of to cut those lengths. I figured I'd have a lot leftover at the end but didnt adjust the cord lengths. Thank goodness for that! About 20 rows in I said to myself geez, if I'd used 5mm cord I'd be way short on cord length. As it turned out, 3mm cord yielded perfect results. I had less than 30 cm leftover. I tied my knots fairly tight, since it's a purse. And 3mm makes a daintier appearance IMO. But yeah, if going with 4 or 5 mm then for sure and length to your cut cords. Or make a smaller bag! But I love the pattern, the sides are so smart, and the tutorial was excellent! I'm very happy with my end results. ❤❤❤

      I left 5 side gaps. That means about 10 - 11 lines depending how you count them.

    You gave wrong measurments. In video at 10:19 you said that we have to have 39 rows, but you have more, maybe 50 rows. I followed your measurments and I'm ran out of cord and itt's not enough to make flap of the bag. What should I do now?

    • @nodinni
      @nodinni  10 месяцев назад

      I'm sorry you ran out of cord, but as I said in the description, you need to adjust the length of your cords according to the cord you are using and your work style. I suggested thst you should increase the length of the cord by 10-20 percent to make sure you can finish the bag. My measurements were right for me and for many others, but unfortunately not for everyone as it seems...

    Good Morning!
    Love this design!
    If I wanted to make in 4mm instead how long would I need to cut the cords? 🙂
    I still haven't got the hang of working out cord size conversion lol

    • @nodinni
      @nodinni  2 года назад

      Hi! I would use the same length for the cords. I didn't try to work with 4mm cords yet. However I know that for thinner ones it's necessary shorter threads, but you will have to make more rows to reach the same size for your bag. That's how I see it. Let me know how it worked out. Thanks and good luck with your work. I hope to see your result. 😊 Thanks!

      I guess you could but the fringe will look different. I would live it longer and use more strings, otherwise your bag will be very small. 😊 Please let me know how it turned out if you try it. 😉 Thanks!
