mine still has the original bag and pump motor and is still working like a charm knock on wood. Blood pressure cuff bags break down over time as well and dont last as long as those nylon bags. Also if you swap the sla battery for a lipo you need to adjust the battery cutoff as it will drain a lipo to far if you dont. I had to add another weight on the bottom and some stick on weights. But it works just fine. If that is the oem esc its only rated for 9 volts so if you swap to a lipo you will need a different esc. i am using a mtroniks viper marine 15 on mine using 72mhz pcm radio. the stock radio just glitched way to much.

Yea I have another Neptune coming soon for repair. I will be replacing the Ballast bag, pump, all the electronics and also replace the rudder and add a larger prop like I did with this one. Will be running a very large lipo, with a Magnetic on and off switch

You can make some new flat ring seals by cutting some out of stock rubber sheet with a scalpel, or if that seems like too much work, have the sheet cut by waterjet. Silicone rubber will age very well.

problem is the oem big orings are not flat, nor just round. They are both, some proprietary oring thunder tiger made in the day. Ive searched oring companies and found some stuff that is similiar but just not the same and something id like to experiment with lol.

Sounds an odd arrangment, that offers no advantage. Can't you just use a flat seal or modify the end caps to suit. RUclips seem to have removed my other comment about using joke IV blood bags for a new bladder.

I'm currently looking for a replacement pump control unit for mine. Can you recommend anything? I've tried speed controllers, which overheated and also microswitches, but they blew the main switch board fuse! I solved the pump issue by putting a piece of tube over the motor shaft and filing it in a triangular shape so it picked up the rollers. Apparently, Thunder Tiger supplied the wrong motors with too small a shaft, hence the problem.

If your Water pump is over heating a ESC and blowing fuses, then the problem is the motor on the pump is going bad or is being over taxed or you got a short. I used 25amp ESCs with the old pump that came with the sub with no problems. Also if you replace the pump controller, you can't use the pressure switch. You need to watch out not to over fill the yellow ballast bag. As for replacing the Pump, some people have used the INTLLAB 12V DC DIY Peristaltic Liquid Pump. It's bigger and heavier, but can be made to fit. Or other people have used a Keenso SI-AT23011 12V geared pump with a small 12v Solenoid Valve. As for Pump controllers, a 25a or higher ESC or a Deep pump controller from mr-rcworld.co.uk in the UK with a Active FailSafe. If radio signal is lost if auto blows the ballast tank.
