  • This is the Deimos Settler for Starfield, a ship showoff and build.
The Deimos Settler is the next ship in the Settler class ship designs. Settler ships are designed for homesteaders who are looking to go settle distant planets, whether for resources, or just a new home. All Settler class ships have the following features:
It is a Class A ship, and requires no ranks of piloting or starship design to build.
Settler class ships need to sleep a minimum of a family of 4, and have a galley to cook in.
Settler class ships need to have a cargo hold, a workshop, and an infirmary, and they may carry an armory as well.
While this ship was built in a modded game, no mods are needed to build this ship. It does however take advantage of the ship flip glitch, which needs to be enabled in your settings menu.

I know ships cannot split (but if someone made a mod, would be super cool).
Anyway was watching you build outpost/frontier/settler ships got me thinking of a ship that all of the landing gear and habs for outpost building (workshop, infirmary, cargo hall, all-in-one/berths, armory) are on the lower levels one color.
The upper level has maybe the captains quarters, maybe one of those 1x1 crew bunk rooms, weapons, engines, reactor, shield, grav drive to run errands, fly defense, aerial scouting…
I would make one to show, but… still not home from the holidays.
    This sound interesting to you?

You are right that ships can't split, though I can see where you are going with your idea. While you can't exactly get what you are going for in starfield, I do have an upcoming build (my Taiyo settler) that does have the lower level dedicated to outpost stuff and the upper level to sleeping and so on, which gets kind of towards what you are going for. I can also see building one that is multi-manufacturer and has a companionway that separates the living and work areas. I'll have to think on that some more...
