@@Diemerstein I see it the same way. The BO105 was a very robust, reliable, agile helicopter. The BK117 was an ongoing aerodynamic improvement of the BO105. Very aerodynamic design at front and at the tail with it's high tail rotor. This MBB -> EADS -> DASA -> AIRBUS construct killed a lot. It's more politics than anything else.

Actually Airbus is what it's called today, but it was called Messerschmitt-Bölkow-Blohm, it's their Bo-105 that the BK 117 is based on.
