  • West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee on Saturday said the judiciary should be sacred and honest and free from political bias. Chief Justice of India (CJI) DY Chandrachud backed her views and said judges should refrain from allowing their personal beliefs to influence their rulings. Speaking at a conference on contemporary judicial developments in Kolkata, Banerjee described the judiciary as an "important temple" for citizens, and it serves as the last frontier for getting justice and upholding constitutional rights.

First, he needs to talk about the much needed reforms in Judiciary, for example, the appointment of judges. Don't forget the Nupur Sharma case and the recent Pune car accident case. Btw, hon. CJI Dhananjay Chandrachud, the son of former CJI Yeshwant Chandrachud, is sharing stage with that person (CM Mamta Bannerjee) who has violated the laws and judgments most times and who has even openly said that "I will not follow the judgment of the court, because it's not in my favour." And now, Mamta Bannerjee, sharing stage with CJI, is talking about impartiality, freedom of speech, democracy and constitution, etc. 😂 Hypocrisy beyond any limits. I think Mr Chandrachud should have asked Mamta Bannerjee, about the state of law & order in her State and about the political violences happening in WB. In W.B., violence takes place frequently in every election and even many seats in Municipal Council went uncontested due to the political violence done by TMC goons, frequent anti-Hindu activities by TMC workers and politicians to appease Muslims, BJP workers are always beaten up badly by TMC workers during elections, post-poll violence is common in W.B., TMC goons threaten people to not vote for any other party except TMC during elections, they had even inhabited huge no. of Bangladeshi Muslims in W.B. which act as their vote bank during elections, there are lakhs of illegal voters in W.B. But, Mr Chandrachud won't talk about W.B. because, in his opinion, violence occurs only in Manipur and there is full democracy in West Bengal. If a politician openly disrespects and doesn't follow the court's judgment, that's okay. But, if a journalist criticises a court's verdict then it's a contempt of court. So, Mr Chandrachud, firstly, needs to talk about reforms in Judiciary.

Being inert, Law alone is not going to bring any big change.
The experts who are operating these laws should handle them for the good of the society/country.
If the experts are not honest/ don't work for the good of the society, the law alone cannot bring down crimes.
The experts have to think and examine their own mind-dynamics honestly and find out the answer for the question, "who is breeding, mainly, the crimes ? - "Who is strengthening the criminals ?!"
Let the experts work with honesty and with their own intelligence to do good to the society.
A law cannot speak of its own - advocacy done by advocates brings the ability for the laws to speak.
Can we please think with an open mind !

But does he admit or not, that there is corruption in judiciary too. What steps he has taken to eradicate that. If that is done and cases are disposed of quickly, everthing else will become better in this country. Where is judicial accountability.
