    130,000 cycles for wings is pretty impressive. For comparison, Boeing 707's were rated for 50,000 cycles (entire airframe).
    At the end of the day, the DC-8 was a better designed and built aircraft, albeit it came with a slight fuel penalty. This is probably due to less wing swept than the 707.

    Douglas:THE WORST AIRCRAFT COMPANY
    - Killed thousands of people
    - Made full of flaws
    - Engine has little flaw that made the fan blade explode

      Just take a look at Airbuses and their "Human Error Proof" Systems. No Jetliner in History Has Killed Anybody Because of That like the aforementioned Airbuses.

      u r wrong they did lot of inovation in aeronautic , aviation and their time was hard lack of technologie also 50s 60s 70s
