Watching Tyron talk makes you realise how bad a job Tommy was doing when it came to the media and marketing side of things. Fury vs Paul was supposed to sell itself because of the Fury name and the fact that Tommy was an actual (albeit novice) boxer, and yet I’m way more hyped for this after just 2 videos.
Then you're easily fooled. Hype such as talking shouldn't sell fights. A good fight between good boxers should. Tyron is not a good boxer (is he even one at all?).
@@thisguy976 yeah it should but Jake at the end of the day is a mid level amateur fighting as a main eventer who’s currently fighting other mid level amateur/ very low level pros like Tommy. So therefore a good promo is necessary to make people care and buy the fight.

Selling a fight is a part of your responsibility as a prize fighter. If you can’t promote your own fight, you’ve failed in that responsibility.

I can’t lie, Jake’s growing on me. He takes the sport seriously, and after Tommy dropped out he could’ve easily not fought. The only criticism I do have though, is this narrative he puts out about how he “came from nothing”. The Paul brothers lived comfortably before they got famous, make no mistake.
They did come from very little until they were around 15 and started making more money than their parents

I gained some respect towards Jake as an athlete and a fighter. Regardless of his personality and celebrity status, the guy showed how much he has worked to get this far without using short cuts. I hope for this rematch to be more entertaining from both Jake and Woodley.
