put any drums hit hat and snare that sound weak it make it monster, same thing for bass of an FM synth and for vocal sample or chiptune it can make a huge difference, amazing how good this thing is, it can emulate an old SP 12 EMULATOR or an AKAI S16 or old MPC stuff.
Dope plugin, I’ve been using the trial version for about 2 weeks now and I’m definitely gonna buy this, I’m mainly buying it for the SP-1200 fx & the vinyl fx but there’s a bunch of other cool emulations on it like the MPC 60 fx, the ASR-10 fx and many more! The only thing I don’t get is why are some of the preset setting so extreme, for example the main preset I use is the SP-1200 fx and for some weird reason they have the preamp volume set to +15db :-O making the sounds too distorted and dirty but not in a way that sounds good to me, even though I don’t feed it any audio higher than peaking at -6db.... but once I change the preamp volume to +3db or +6db and the output volume to -3db or -6db then the effect sounds really dope! That setting is an easy fix but it left me wondering why they have that setting so exaggerated, that can turn off a lot of people the 1st time they preview the effect like it did me, I didn’t like that distorted sound till I fixed it.... but other than that little issue this plugin sounds really dope, I like it a lot! :) I did notice a lot of the presets have similar exaggerated preamp settings but now I know to lower them whenever I want to use them... but I’m still really surprised why +15db??!!
@@Claidheambmor I mentioned I was feeding it a -6db signal, that's already low enough, the way they have the presets set up seems like they're expecting you feed it a signal of -15db or something very low like that! My original post was from 4 years ago, I didn't buy the plugin after all, I think those exaggerated presets turned me off a bit but it was also the fact that I got another SP-1200 emulation plugin that came out around that time called SP-950, it's specifically an EMU SP-1200 emulation plugin with an Akai S-950 filter emulation, dope plugin that's very easy to use and without exaggerated distorted presets and it only cost like $20 or $25!
Has anyone here used both d16 and soundtoys plugins? Since they both seem to have similar effects, I'm contemplating buying either the d16 silverline bundle or the soundtoys 5 bundle and am wondering if anyone can tell me which is better?
if you want phat as fuck, push the fucking INPUT GAIN section of this plug-in it make a huge difference, same thing with the filter and ajust the JITER and Sampling rate with taste, and you got something very interresting.
@@Claidheambmor Yes I did and I completely stand by my original comment. This video is more like an advert than a tutorial as it breezes over the parameters rather than explain in any detail whatsoever.
how does this sound to emulate sp1200 organic sonority (for old school hip hop drums, especially)?
Rozumiałem dużo! Pomimo faktu, że jestem rosyjskim! Dziękuję!!! ))))
I understood a lot! Despite the fact that I'm Russian! Thank you !!! ))))
I love you guys !!! Keep making Rack Extension device and I'll keep giving you money !!!!

Next Plug-In I‘m gonna purchase... sounds great!

Depends on the volume of what you're feeding into it, that +15dB may not be as extreme as it seems.

how do i use this on vocals??
Please stop talking and concentrate on the plugin
Reminder to try MPC60 preset of Decimort on drums, I've heard itreally brings them to life (with the input turned down a bit and the output up a bit)
If I want artifacts in the signal, can I adjust it?
thank you verry much for the video :) Love it :)
Wish they would make a hardware version
You'd like to pay much, much more for the same outcome? Fair enough I guess.

You can't go wrong with the Soundtoys 5 bundle. I don't know what I'd do without Echoboy or Decimator. I love the infinite decay on Little Plate too.
@@bitspacemusic
Echoboy or what???
For whom that want to know when the marketing talk and the nonsense teakwing ends and when the actual tutorial begins... it never does.
Very nice! I want decimort 2! nyaa nyaa :)
Check it ooht
throw on wobble bass talk talk talk
Having install problems. Brought this recently. Attempting to make it work on FL Studios 9.
It works on there. My cpu can't run the latest joints. I gotta run 12 and under, person who commented and deleted it

How is this a tutorial?
This is not a tutorial by any stretch of the imagination.
I don't suppose you stayed around long enough to see that every aspect of the plugin is explained

If you talked less it would be much more fruitful. Here's the tip.🤷
You must be fun at parties
