I feel like not enough people know about the Freelancer career(s). It gives you more time to play with your sim and your sim can work however often you want them to, when you want them to. You can also get a pretty penny as a Digital Artist. Definitely wayyy more than you get in a week's pay in the Painter career if you do it steadily.
I enjoyed doing freelance work while simultaneously putting my sim through uni. Felt realistic that a sim would freelance in their field of interest while attaining accreditation so they could then move onto the cushy high-paying job after graduating, but not need to end up with massive student loans afterwards.
about songwriting - you can only license one song for each instrument at a time, which is a really weird design choice. imo, the whole music system should be improved
I literally just realized like yesterday you can run a business and I’ve been playing this game from the beginning. And I only realized it because I wanted to make a strip club.
There's a mod that adds like actual poles and exotic dancing areas and way more! Called wicked whims, there's alot of people who've done reviews on it.
@@donjalee I've built one yeah! It works quite well. Only annoying thing is that you have to use your phone to control some business things other than that it's great
I feel like we keep forgetting about the Wishing Well with Romantic Garden stuff! It's actually packed with gameplay for one little object, and can actually have some impact on storylines for your sims. There's also the bonfire from Get Together, and fireworks from City Living. Add them together with Seasons and you can make something like Bonfire Night, or make the sims version of 4th of July, and a more complete New Year's Eve. You can also hang out around the bonfire with friends and dance around it. And then there's making your own games in the sims. When you reach a certain level in the programming skill, your sim can make their own games. Also if you develop singing and guitar or piano skills, your sim can sing songs. P sure this comes with City Living too.
you can bake with basegame but there’s no skill for it except with the oldest kitchen stuff pack, (not homechef hustle), writing songs is base game (performing on the street for tips came with city living), unsure where the cinema came from, making jam is from cottage living, housework came with bust the dust kit and laundry day, juicing came from eco lifestyle, flower arranging came from seasons, collecting is base game, fabrication is eco life, bowling came from the bowling game pack, robotics came from discover university, photos are base game but the Moschino stuff pack makes it better, and meditation came from Spa Day
This was quite helpful, thank you! Your attention to detail in creating the atmosphere in each section is *chef’s kiss* excellent. I’m quite inspired. Thanks again, you absolute gem!
I completely forgot about the herb skill. Apparently you can collect herbs and maybe even (as I assume) can use them in cooking meals too. I love it how the cooking skill get expanded upon like this more and more (handiness, fishing, gardening and baking already added more to it). It's something I dislike in real life but love to do in The Sims.
I actually LOVE the idea of having an animal training home, because I quite literally never make families with animals. I thought they were cool when they initially came out for each version, then I lost interest (with the exception of TS3, I like how they're handled) and I would never make any more pets. I've gotten some from The Gallery to make the worlds more interesting (we have amazingly talented Simmers!) if I choose to have more animals or a zoo.
Why does Eco Lifestyle come with a bunch of good little hobbies, candle making, fizzing that sorta stuff? It's one of the handful of packs I'm never going to get because it's too invasive and controlling in how it makes you play and I don't really like the world or the cosmetic additions, but I would love to be able to do those little hobbies. I've got a spellcaster who I've got running a magic shop and I've love for her to be able to see homemade candles and fizzy drinks in her shop.
I absolutely love Eco Lifestyle. If you're worried about the Neighborhood Action Plans and Eco Footprint things, you can turn them off or cheat them away. I do that all the time. I don't find the gameplay all that invasive even without turning off the features. It's right up there with Seasons as my favorite expansions. The new skills are well worth it in my mind as are the careers we got.
There has been a candle making mod for years, maybe you can try that instead. I don't use it anymore myself, but I'm pretty sure the creator still adds new candle designs and had version that works with just base game, as well.
@@sabrinaloizides-merideth9874 Even if you can turn them off, I still don't like the world or Evergreen Harbor, I don't like how it looks, any of the sims that come with it, the layout, literally nothing except that it's got a nice name or the CAS and Build Buy additions. Also it seems a bit stupid to buy a pack them turn off the main thing the pack is about. For me, it'd just be a waste of money that I'd never play with so I'm still saying it's right up there with Batuu as a pack I'm never buying. Which is a shame because it has some cool debug and hobby options, but thats like me buying My First Pet Stuff just because I like the round coffee table with the underwater scene, which I won't do either.
I feel that the Plopsy site that came with Nifty Knitting gets forgotten more often for me than does the knitting skill. When I was playing my 100 Baby challenge, I taught all my child-age sims to knit so they immediately had a level three skill when they aged into teens. It made it so easy! And I've recently rediscovered the knitting skill because you can knit the animal clothing as well.
Speaking of duplication, I ran into two Agnes and two Agathas while out to dinner, all four of them in the same restaurant while my sim was on a date. Two Agnes... yes, my sim was repeatedly assaulted.
Yep did all of these. I generally play with most of these in one save or another. I don't really play with pets though and I have no kits (personal decision) but everything else I do, get bored with it, then play something else.
I never forgot about knitting. For me its part of basic Sim gear to stock their inventory. A knitting bag, a good camera, a pair of earbuds, a yoga mat, a vacuum cleaner, a beach towel, etc. Every Sim in played households gets these items in my game.
First of all, girl you are hilarious. Insta-subscribe. Second, I would love to have a video of you transforming the goth house to this colorful version. It's astounding. I was in awe.
I'm trying to give a hobby for all my sims so I can use those skills in my game play, it's been fun. Angela likes to do yoga, while Lilith plays the guitar
I love your videos so much! I get so many ideas. As of right now, I'm trying to create a Barbie dollhouse (open completely in the front) so I can, well, play Barbies! Not to mention I was watching something completely different, saw you had posted and clicked on your video right away. lmao I know where my bread is buttered! Love you , Doll, you're one of my favs that I can't watch around my son. lmao!
I wish candlemaking was more fun, but it takes such a ridiculously long time. And you lose money doing it! They should have made it a “walk away” type thing, like juice fizzing, when the candles are cooling. Nobody stands there the whole time the candle is cooling.
But that's how real life candlemaking works. The maker will cover the string with wax for multiple times. Some candle even need a week to make. And imagine the maker need to do that repetitive act day by day. Cover it with wax, let it cool. Add another layer of wax. Cool it again.
@@jennw6809 no. What i mean, if the devs want to compress all the process of making handmade candle, with that long process in sims 4, i think it's understandable. Because in real life, it's much more boring.
