  • This gluten free Lao dumpling is bursting with flavors. The filling is made with glazed pork and crushed peanuts. It is a fun and unique way to use mini tapioca pearls. These dumplings are served with fresh veggies and will give you a bouncy chew filled with yumminess.

    I'm so glad I found your channel! Sakoo Yat Sai was my fav snacks when I was in Laos. I tried making it with minced chicken and I couldn't form the fillings to balls - could it be due to the lack of presence of fat in the chicken, or not enough caramel? Thank you :D

    Hey, great video! Me and my girlfriend are thinking to do it this weekend, however we are allergic to peanuts. How important are they to the recipe? If they are a must, is there a substitute you would recommend? We were thinking roasted soybeans, what do you think?

    • @roringusanda2837
      @roringusanda2837 Год назад

      That's an interesting idea, soy beans...nuts aren't important, they add a texture and taste, but you can make with no nuts or seeds. Or you can try sunflower seeds, pumpkin seeds, or some other but like Brazil, hazel, macadamia, walnut, cashew, pistachio, etc.

    • @roringusanda2837
      @roringusanda2837 Год назад

      Yes, but it might need a bit of fat, to make it stick into a ball. Some chicken or beef cuts can be too lean by themselves.

      It's a basic root vegetable, is it not sold in your stores? Or try a farmers market. You could grow your own as well.

    It might be a better idea to mash up the tapioca so it has a shape that way it's easier to adhere to the meat. You're missing a lot of steps here
