It's been 5 years since the CPA exam and I still get a little anxiety when I think about them, good job getting through them!! I'm now a tax manager at EY. Good luck starting your career. Your first few years are SO impactful, you'll learn and grow so much. Congrats again!!

ughhh yes that is the goal. It seems like it makes more sense, since i can get a free 2nd monitor through work to go on my desk, and I dont really like editing at my desk anymore because i sit there all day now, and could just use a really good laptop with the same storage to edit. truly sounds like the best option!!

hahaha the exams are such curveballs you truly never know how to feel coming out. And yeah apparently it’s normal in corporate america to start on a friday! we were remote for training and it’s optional to go in office, i haven’t been in yet!

What exactly does an accountant do
that’s a loaded question!! the “textbook” description is that accountants focus on analyzing and interpreting companies financial statements. Some people go into audit, which is basically making sure companies financial statements are accurate and fairly presented, and some people do tax (what i’m doing) which is basically preparing any tax forms for individuals or companies. there’s a lot more to it than just that though!
