Cool idea for a flat sleeping surface. A few questions for you, though: 1.) Is there a catenary sag under load (200 pounds max)? 2.) It's worth noting that the "15 seconds" billed in advertising for time to set the tent up is really about 7 minutes with fly, per this video. 3.) The fly is listed in some ads as waterproof-breathable membrane with nylon substrate, suggesting a product similar to Gore-Tex membrane. In more detailed reading though, I see its "DWR" coated - meaning water repellent/hydrophobic, not waterproof. Important distinction, as DWR is typically not as breathable as PTFE and similar W/B stretched membranes. 4.) Also, the weight is in some places listed as 6 pounds, whereas the kg shown are equivalent to almost ten pounds. That's way too heavy for a one-person shelter when backpacking, but would be great for car camping, and short dispersed camping walks. 5.) I initially saw this in the Uncrate web page newsletter, and find some ambiguity on the price - $600-odd versus $900-odd dollars? Please correct me where I may be wrong, as well as answering the Qs. In any event, looks like a very impressive product. Is there a video showing single-point suspension from overhead? Thanks.
Awesome design really. I dont mind the 4.5kg as I would only pack a sleeping bag/pillow with this. (And food and stuff) probably total load 10kg which is what I usually carry around for an overnight. The only issue would be volume though. Not sure from the video where they manage to put the sleeping bag.

Probably something not made for hiking anywhere but from your Mercedes to the resort you're at when you pay 890 bux for a gimmicky overpriced hammock tent

Made multiple prototypes, talked to several manufacturers until you get one that is actually good and ready to work with your small quantity order, pay for expensive sample, get into manufacturing and deal with transports and import, faulty items, logistics. Then set up a website, make content, videos, several photoshooting and in their case a 3d animation. Start social media and launch ads. You know you pay for ads right? Ill stop here. You probably dont even know the difference between a 20D nylon and 400D nor what carbon fiber even is.
