    Wow spectacular, how has it held up? I am thinking of doing this for a backsplash, minus the epoxy...

      Ya held up really well! Backsplash would be class! I'd definitely try and cover it with something though if you're not going to use epoxy, the caps do rust.

    Nicely done - how is it now a few months after? Any issues?

      Cheers bud, actually have it down now a few years, has held up really well! Went a little too light in a area with the epoxy so you can hear a little almost music like noise when you walk on that area and one of the caps must of had a little bit of rust on it, that continued to rust over and create a small bubble but you wouldn't notice it unless you knew it was there, would love to take it up and start again really enjoyed doing it!

    How many caps did you use?

    • @joeofnotrades
      @joeofnotrades  2 года назад

      Hey Gemma, I had 2,400 caps and still needed to go to our local pub for more to finish it so around 2,500

    Hi, looks awesome. what epoxy did you use?

    • @joeofnotrades
      @joeofnotrades  2 года назад +1

      Thanks bud, used glasscast 3 from glassfibre.ie/ they were great to deal with very helpful and their epoxy was specially formulated, it generates heat to get rid of any bubbles and to be fair to them I didn't get a single bubble in the epoxy, only snag was it couldn't be more than 2mm thick on each pour.
