Thank you Brother for sharing Stories from the Ozarks. My people were Cherokee and forced onto the Trail of Tears 😢. They broke away from the Trail about 80 miles from where I reside. They established Tilley Arkansas in North East Pope County Arkansas.
God bless you too this early Sunday morning hun. I can't sleep and found you. I've subscribed. I love your style of storytelling. I love stories of Appalachia and the Ozarks. My family come from Irish who settled in the Appalachia Mountains of KY. You talk like my Daddy did. I was raised down here in Middle Tennessee. I'm 67.
Well jared, im suffering with gallbladder pain today, my surgery should be in the next few months. Im binging the videos i haven't seen yet - so thank you sir for distracting me from the worst pain😢 ❤
Time to unwind listening to Jared!! I’ve been telling my friends about your story telling. Keep doing what you’re doing and I guarantee something bigs gonna happen for you. You have a great natural gift brother
We lived in McDowell County, West Virginia and my family worked for US STEEL at the mines, my fathers family had jobs that kept them out of the mines, but my father worked as a blacksmith after WWII that soon saw him trained as an electrician and working in the shops on replacing the mules (there were barns with hundreds of them) with electric motor cars and power coal cutters and loaders. Well when I was just 7 or 8 years old, my father was gone for two or three days in a row and mom wouldn’t tell us where he was. He was a big man about 6’-3” and when he came home I wasn’t allowed to go to the basement and meet him as he showered and changed clothes like I did every day. He cam up to the main floor and then went straight up to the bedroom. Mom took him some soup and something to eat and drink with it and I followed her up and I stood in the hallway and watched as dad had changed into his pajamas and sat on the edge of the bed and was crying with his head in his hands. Mom sat the food down and kneeled down in front of him and began to console him and get him to tell her what he had found as he had worked solid for those days to get through a “mountain bump” that had happened with a crew at work in the mine. When he could finally tell her, I heard him describe taking the dead miners out of the collapse, and one was a good friend of his and dad and the others found that a large piece of slate had cut him into, and that was the worst part of the attempted rescue! There were no survivors, I am not sure of the number that died, it seems like 3, but it could have been more. A year later my sister and I were sent to live with my grandparents in Virginia where they had just retired and the summer of 58 my father quit and bought a business in a small town in Florida where they lived until they passed. It was a surreal scene for me to have seen with the strongest man that I knew being so emotionally distraught.
Brother Jared, Greetings and Blessings, from the Foothills of the Ozarks of Arkansas. You promised me an Ozark story, and you delivered. Thank you for another fantastic narration about our Kin Folks. 💙 🙏
Thank you for this, Jared. Too many know too little about the Ozarks. Spooky! My mom's dad made 50¢ one year during the depression and lost his hammer on top of that. They were packed up to leave for Oregon and my great grandfather offered them $5 to stay.
Amen to that brother! Dang wild how that worked out ain't it! Thank you so so much for watching and enjoying Kinfolk! Truly means a lot. God bless and have a good'n brother
Wow, so Daniel, their son, was Jared's PaPaw? I love these true stories, I find history truly enthralling!! Just wish we could learn some lessons from history!!! Continued blessings for you and yours in 2024!!
My grandpa worked in the coal mine in Colorado . I never heard any stories about that, except my grandma ran a boarding house for the miners. Probably around the same era as your story. Ty
@@JaredKingTV I have a kinda ghost story I guess you'd call it. If I get my old bones up, I'll email it to you, lol. Maybe it was an angel trying to get my attention, I don't know, but I'll share it with you.
Yes indeed Jared, Amos was doing God's work! I hope Billy understood that one day. Amos was probably just puzzled as crud but happy that Billy was able to go back to his Mary. Y'all take care now! May God bless you and yours. 😊
Hello my friend liked this one god does surely move in Mysterious ways but just shows you it's all for a reason keep up the good work and blessing to you and yours my friend
My grandma was a deep south Mississippi woman. She only went to 6th grade in school cause she had to pick cotton, but her education came from the Lord. So she talked to him a lot and when she was pregnant with my mother she was scared for that baby she was carrying. So one night she was sitting on the couch and the Lord came in and sat beside her on the couch and told her your baby is going to be sick but not worry she was going to be alright and He left. My mom was sick her whole life, but no matter what, she always overcame it and lived to her sixties. Grandma, in a lucid moment, was told mom had passed and once she knew her baby didn't need her anymore , she closed her eyes and died in her chair just a few months after mom died. We always knew it would be like that.😊❤
Sounds like when Amos was asleep that his friend was in such distress in the mine, that his spirit called to Amos. Amos probably experienced Astra Projection while asleep. His spirit went to his friend. He faded as he woke up at home, his spirit returned to his body. The Lord works in mysterious ways.

He traveled to that mine in his dream. He was there; but, his body wasn't. Billy was one of those who could see him travel in his dreams. They never talked to each other. Out-of-body travelers are often mistaken for ghosts. Sometimes an out-of-body traveler gets lost (and their body dies). They can't stay away from their body too long. Sometimes they don't want to return.
