As a local actor in Baton Rouge La I just want to say hard work does pay off I’ve been acting for two years now and putting in the time and effort I just had a role for a great movie that’s going to be in limited theaters and I’m working on my first lead role as I’m typing this… now I’m nowhere near where I want to be but keep pushing and don’t give up you’ll get there
Never give up, there is not one day I wake and think that acting isn’t for me. I use to think that if I believe hard enough God would open a door for me. I am perfecting my craft more and more because faith without works is dead. I know whether it’s my singing or my acting or both, God will make room for me and he will give me the desires of my heart if it’s his will.
Truly understand when he talks about the group your with is landing auditions and yes you feel good for them , but you start to second guess. That’s a huge obstacle in this line of work. Personally I️ feel you have to go hard in whatever you do. You never know until you try but it’s defiantly a rollercoaster. I️ wish all the Luck to my fellow actors!
Needed this on this very day! Hard work will most definitely pay off. Doesn’t matter who’s around you and making waves, when it’s your time… It’s your time! 🙏🏽❤️
Great and amazing actor. I love the intelligence and wisdom that this brother has because it’s cool seeing a very articulate man being able to show different aspects of him. Definitely a great of example of a intelligent talented and creative black man that i look up too. I wish you so much success and positivity Mr.Omari
I dont disagree with working on self and craft, absolutely great advice. However the agent part, you'd be very hard pressed for an agent to just 'find' you. Now a days agents want a ready made talent with a decent co star guest star resume before they even consider pushing an actor. It's all nepotism. Go out meet n mingle rub as many elbows as possible, and dont be afraid to ask for help, because its rarely just offered in this business. God Bless all on the journey, you only fail when you give up.
I hear you but people make excuses all the time. Agents look for talent all the time if you do like he said and not worry about it and worry about you’re craft the right one will find you.
This is the advice the successful actor should share. My own topic this week for my own subscribers. Some of you out there (including this writer and vlogger) have the artist aspiration. You have been told by the very few who made it to believe in yourself and never give up. Well the simply fact is the arts are very different than any other profession. Because usually--someone else has to let you in. Now what I would tell you if you are 18 or 40 and feel that your destiny is in the arts? I would not tell you to just stay the "safe route" and give up on your dreams. I would tell you to pursue the artist aspiration smartly. Get another trade that you at least like. So the agents of industry never have you by the throat. You have to go to work anyway so you might as well have the job that pays well. I never went through the starving artist phase. I went through a starving student phase. So when I finally did pursue the artist endeavor I did it with a job I also like that contracts for 100K a year and four month vacations in Europe. That's how you go through being a starving artist. You don't starve at all. Hope this helps someone---Charles
The Middle of Nowhere trailer he pops out as being the only one in the cast that seems convincing that he is really the character he is playing. He acts so good he doesn't look like he's acting.
Thank you Omari!! I’m just starting my acting career and I said the same thing. I’m just focusing on my craft and the right agency will find me!!💖💖 ~Actress Janika La’Shae💕
I've done my handwritten script which is about 100 pages and now typing it onto computer. Can I send a synopsis of the film to you guys at Film Courage to get feedback?
Hi Leon, congrats on the script! We don't read scripts. One thing we may do in the next few weeks is have people submit videos for our channel where they talk about their projects. Keep an eye out for the Open Call.
Work on ur craft! Leave the rest to the universe. I read Hoffman and Hackman thought the same. They didn't think they would go anywhere at least Hoffman didn't.
I like the way he started the interview "You nervous....ground yourself, grab something." He knows how to conquer fear. Respect.
Nova Marshall Facts. I can tell he definitely has a lot of knowledge and wisdom and reads a whole lot of books. Definitely a great person.

Smart man. I see why he made it. He's connected to his soul.
YES.
Man i needed this. I randomly came across this video but I’m glad I did. So encouraging especially to me as a young actor trying to make it out here.
On the same boat! 🙏🏻🙏🏻
