Elvis was so ill, it breaks my heart to watch him! You can see that he is having problems breathing, etc! But he always gave 💯 % of himself to us, his fans!! No matter what anyone says Elvis was, is and always will be The Greatest Entertainer of all time!!!! ❤️🔥 I watch and listen to him daily!! I have loved him for 64 years!! ❤❤❤! There will never be anyone else like him!! ❤
Elvis deserves so much respect for showing up for his fans eventhough he was so ill. He didn't want to disappoint his fans . Bless him. His beautiful voice . I am so proud to be an Elvis fan. He gave us all he had for as long as he could. Thank you Elvis for sharing your beautiful voice and heart with the world. We will not forget you....❤❤❤
Makes me cry! He gave his fans so much love and talent...so much of his life. He had no idea how popular he would still be today. Elvis, you are loved! ❤❤😪❤❤
This is for sure one of the toughest Elvis videos to watch and it also gets me every time. I can almost feel his despair when he says “I neeeeeeed” and I think everyone there also felt it, they were mesmerized, you could hear a pin drop and when he finishes they come back to their senses. I have so much love and respect for this man. He will always be remembered ❤
Elvis. Just his name brings joy expectation of a beautiful song sung beautifully too. This .listen.hes so sick..maybe in pain but doesnt hold back. What a marvel. God graciously allowed us to enjoy so so much. Love. Elvis for all he endured for us his fans. Even tho he doesnt know. Fantastic !!! Agree with what youve said of the greatest one.
That concert was from Rapid City South Dakota on June 21st 1977 six weeks before his death. This was a brand new Building called the Rushmore plaza or civic center and held 10,000seats and Elvis opened this new arena sold out croud and had been performing for over an hour before he sang this song it was one of the last songs he played at that concert and he Crushed his version of Unchained Melody. Many have tried to cover this song but few can hit the notes and do it justice..Elvis owned this song with this performance...
Hi BD , I agree with you that although he is pouring his heart out, it's always hard for me to watch , I believe that he was actually speaking to The Lord above and he was asking if you would remember me , and I Cry every time I see this concert, but he never lost his powerful voice and the humility that he always has , just wanted to say thank you and I appreciate your beautiful Elvis love , like so many people across the world v, I pray that he can see and feel the Love we have for him and he is always on our mind, at least he is for me , when you come to my house , it's welcome to The Beautiful World of Elvis always and forever. Thanks again TCB 1935
This is so hard to see, he is so bloated after having 3 heart attacks, but still he does this MASTERPIECE!!!! He could hardly breath, he stutter, yet when he starts to play and sing, just close your eyes and really, really enjoy the one and only true selftought MASTER OF MUSIC E.P in action!!!! When he says GOD it brings tears to my eyes, I feel like he is asking GOD to take him home, what do you think???
He took a lot of medication because he was very sick. He had a lot of health problems. I don’t think this is sad because it was so beautiful. I’m not sure I see it the same as you. I just thought of It as being beautiful. I didn’t think that he had a whole lot of problems talking. He was tired , sure, more than he used to be probably, its the same as the way I talk sometimes. He was known for stuttering a little bit when he got excited. it wasn’t as obvious as he got older, but it was there He struggled a little bit but All he wanted to do is do a good performance for his fans, and his love for music went beyond any bounds. I just thought of it as being beautiful and I know that’s what he would want us to take from it as a perfect performance beyond imperfection To think about anything else that were going on during that time was the reason why he took the medication‘s because he had lot of health problems, so maybe it was a little out of control, but I know people who have to take medication and after while it stopped working so it is increased and increased with doctors ok. But none of that matters right now this song, 47 years later, we’re still listening to it. He was an amazing beautiful man and he loved music and this performance was one of the best I’ve ever seen or heard that’s what we should be remember He was an amazing, beautiful big hearted man with the most beautiful voice I have ever heard, and I will always think of him as best singer that I will always love him no matter what else happened or what is happening, will never change my mind He gave all he had for his love of music. I will always admire and love him for that he will always be my hero
His manager and those leeches surrounding Elvis took advantage of his kindness. They often prioritized financial gain over Elvis's well-being. Elvis beauty radiated both externally and internally. His charisma and talent have left an indelible mark on the world. He will live in our hearts forever ❤️
----------- I saw this concert when it first aired on tv in fall of 1977. I didn't think anything of Elvis condition, or even the way his meds sometimes interfered with his speech. I was viewing this as someone who did not grow up knowing who elvis was. I walked away from this concert impressed with Elvis. I thought he looked so cool with those sideburns, that I immediately grew some. The outfit he wore, way he moved, and there was a aura about him. I loved the music too. Here's my analysis of the problem with this performance: It is not so much Elvis as it is the long-time Elvis fans who compare Elvis in 1977 against his former self 1950s skinny, young, rambuncteous elvis. I have always favored later elvis because his voice was deeper and capable of so much more power than 50s or 60s elvis. So I walked into this thing totally objective. I didn't know elvis was bloated from his meds, etc. I just liked him with no conditions.
You could do Elvis all day every and I'd be here for it! I saw that your channel started a month ago. Pretty awesome you have so many subs already. I subbed after I watched the Blackhawk chopper blowing supplies everywhere, so far like your channel very much.
@@AfterDarkBoys YT deleted my post. Do you charge for your requests? I wouldn't mind as long as they were somewhere under $50? I'd like to see Tom Jones sing "I'll Never Fall in Love Again." (black and white live performance is best) If you have never heard it, he's a powerhouse. All the ladies in my family, even us old gals, agree he could sing our panties off!
It's crazy to think that the man that could barely form a sentence at the time, is the same man that just sat behind that piano and sang an angelic tune straight from the soul...Divine intervention. We love and miss ya Elvis, the only scars in Heaven are on the hands that hold you now.. Elvis always said he didn't like being called the King because there's only one King and that is Jesus Christ, he's reunited with his King now...
Elvis died because of us. We were too much in awe to see that this man was sick and needed to be hospitalized. That’s really sad to realize. Here we have probably the most beloved artist of all time dying in front of our eyes and we didn’t warn him with concern. Elvis’ could get away with it because he was one of those individuals that could get away with everything. He took really bad care of himself and was on a road to self destruction challenging his immortal legendary status as we stood there and applauded. But that’s just the way it was. Elvis’ downfall contributed to his extraordinary kinglike aura even almost 50 years after he died. Only Elvis could walk on stage bloated and slurring his words without being boohooed of it. Because that’s the puzzling thing. Despite his appearance he still could sing like nobody else as he did just 6 weeks prior to his death in this amazing rendition of this song.
This is so very hard to watch. The once most beautiful man on the planet reduced to a bloated, swollen, very unwell shadow of his former magnificent self. And that at the young age of only 42 years.
But, what if? For a University music class I did a research paper that explored the "what if's?" There had been news reports that ELVIS had plans to sell one of his planes. Unbeknownst to him the buyers were bad guys from organized crime and weren't gonna pay up. Threats of bodily harm and worse got back to ELVIS and he knew he had to hide out. Forward to today and lo and behold there's a preacher who has an extremely uncanny resemblance to an older ELVIS. Maybe? I can't say. There are videos of this man walking around Graceland talking off to the side with Lisa Marie before she passed.
I came up with a special show, I know it's a fantasy one. If it could happen, then I surely would do anything to go and watch and listen, but would you? Elvis Presley, Aretha Franklin, Whitney Houston, Freddie Mercury (Queens singer), Michael Jackson, James Brown (KING of SOUL music) and Janis Joplin.
Not hard to understand that he died two months later. He is so totally wasted here. Tired beyond words, the only place he should have been at this point, is in a hospital. He continued touring, because that was the only source of income he had. His record sales had, again, taken a Jose-dive after the initial success of «Aloha». Royalties from his recorded music from 1956-72 was sold to RCA in 1973, leaving him with pocket-change. He needed the money to pay for his divorce settlement. In hindsight, an insane move that would cost his heirs and family a fortune.

He was in so much pain, but always gave 100% to the fans.
his voice never failed him, rest in peace king
The way he sings “God speeds your love” each time is so haunting and his smile at the end just makes me want to cry

The first note..that voice! It is what it's all about.
This always makes me fill up. Beautiful, talented Elvis is so near to his end, yet he gave his all. He truly was magnificence personified.
Gets me every time too
Always that smile!!! ♥️

without love elvis
