In case Guzu reads this, here are some BDK tips based on your gameplay:
-Prio Deathstrike over heartstrike, especially in raids you want to Death Strike for the blood shield and for damage, because optimally using Heartstrike for damage is too slow, it takes twice as much GCDs to use as such you cannot use it in a way where you don't waste either runes or runic power while doing so.
- Always keep one of your blood runes available, because in Cata they recharge 1 at a time instead of simultaneously you don't waste anything that way, it makes it so that you only refresh Death Runes with your Rune Strike, making you be able to do more Death Strikes which heals/shields you for more making you a better tank, it also means you always have 1 if you go low and you need to use Rune Tap.
-Similarly you probably want to macro your Blood tap into your Rune Strike, because ideally you only use your Runestrike when you have no runes and you are looking to get Death runes, it lines it up 90%+ of the time, which is also a damage/survivality boost, because you are rarely using it otherwise (hard to pay attention to it).
- As others mentioned, get a Blood Shield Tracker addon, makes life much easier as a BDK, on some fights it will help a lot to be able to see when damage spikes and to have a Death Strike ready to take advantage of it.
- Don't use DND on single target pulls, you lose out on a Deathstrike for it, which is your most important ability.
- Use Bone shield and Horn of winter 5-ish seconds before pull, the extra 10 runic power means you can get the Dancing Rune Weapon out on pull 1 ability(DS/HS) earlier which in turn makes your opening damage and threat earlier.
- Use Dancing Rune Weapon on pull, then once you are out of runes, use Empowered Rune Weapon as well while Dancing Rune Weapon is active for extra damage and threat. You should also use Dancing Rune Weapon on cooldown, it's extra dps and extra survivability, no reason not to.
- You can spec out of Abomination's Might if someone else in the raid provides it, you can get points in some damage/runic power increasing options instead.
No offense to your gameplay, just in case you want to optimize it.

Guzu, there is an addon called blood shield tracker, it will show u how big your bloodshield already is and how much u will heal with death strike (remember that healing is based on dmg taken in last 5 secs)

The army of the dead DR was always in the game. Few people know ab it and even fewer ever use it.
Because it's use is 99% of the time niche and on a 10min timer.

Did they nerf heroics for this time around? I remember heroics being rough early in the game especially with all the one shot mechanics. It may just be players are better now
Cata classic released the post nerf heroic dungeons. Chances are people struggled early on due to gear issues. Guzu has boes plus the perks of being a blood dk

People do not know optimization back then on classes.
Pre-nerf dungeons even decently geared you had to do mechanics
Post-nerf less amount of mechanics needs attention to if you have decent gear
It's not exactly because of him having blues and blood dk if it was pre-nerf people fucked up mechanics, you die.
Even post nerf like I said you have to pay attention alittle.
Had a whole group blame me as a tank because they couldn't get out of the bosses mechanic.

People keep saying post nerf dungeons to feel better about being shit at the game but there not post nerf there post fix they just didn't put the dungeons in the game as a buggy mess

Holy shit the amount of misinformation... You prio Deathstrike, if for nothing else than to build up your Blood Shield. Even for damage because otherwise you are wasting rune recharges.

Army is 95% of the time not worth using as a defensive since you have to channel it to get the max benefit of its "defensiveness" but channeling is inherently a bad defensive due to not being able to avoid things while channeling as the less channel you do the less worth it becomes. In raids you will pop it prepull instead of as a defensive due to the amount of movement mechanics and Vamp Blood , Bone Shield and AMS are low enough CDs that blowing a 10min "defensive" CD that is overall worse than Icebound Fort is not really useful lol.
Literally how the Blood DK discord views Army.
Depends on the fight really. Back on heroic lich king, You could pop army to mitigate the initial hit of soul reaper and then roll anyother defensive for the pop. There might be something similar for cata raids.
