It would definitely be a good idea for boys too. Like the money, gum, tictacs, deodorant, cologne or body spray, bandaids, tissues, dental stuff, portable charger for all, extra charging cord for their phone, headphones, emergency gift card or something. I'm a teacher in grade 5, and this would be awesome for my class. I teach in an inner city school and would love to keep one of these in my room for any of the girls that may need it. 🥰
If you have any kind of parent/community groups in your area, suggest this. We have an organization of volunteers in our area that does all kinds of things like this, including making valentine boxes and distributing to all the elementary schools for kiddos who don't have one. We collect and distribute school supplies, backpacks, emergency kits for classrooms. It really takes very little to get people involved. I'm retired and participate in a couple if different school communities.
