That opening Escape From New York cover (+ the titletrack) is probably the most flawless intro to a record i've EVER heard. I'm in awe, covered in perpetual goosebumps.
I'm 46, but I might as well be 15. Just put this album on a mix tape somewhere between the circle jerks, agression, ill repute, and MIA. Summer vacation and a fresh layer of Masonite on the ramp. Fuck yes!!
A few commenters here say this reminds them of the Circle Jerks. I think Night Birds remind me more of Agent Orange. Especially their previous recordings that had a lot of punked up insturmental surf music just like Agent Orange did 30 years ago. Either way great album and great band.
+Angel Diaz I was at one of those Adicts/LOC shows as well, I had heard of them a few months before and started the pit as soon as they started playing
@@JohnH779 The drums are boring and generic. Not a fan of the vocals. I like the guitar. You guys like a lot of L.A. surf punk? Sounds like it. I think it's weak because that's my opinion and personal taste. I find it interesting that punks these days can't handle dissenting opinions about their music. Why do you care what i think? It's your music. If you like it then stand by it. I personally don't care if people don't like the bands i've played in. They don't have to like it.
@@justsomedudeyouknow8372 Well apparently you seem to be bothered when someone asks a simple question don't you? By the way I am not a 'You Guys" i'm an Aussie punk Rocker! Well, I don't give a flying fuck about you since you didn't bother to consider who was asking the original question and that's all I was doing.. All you had to do was answer the question without the BS .

Definitive Proof that punk will never die.
No matter how many times I listen to this album, I always get goosebumps when Escape from New York transitions into Suburbia.
The transition from Silver Alert to Pretty Poison is so fucking good. I LOVE the nightbirds!
Cool.. Reminds me of MiA

another band that to carried on the legacy of the great Adolescents are the Red Dons, listen to the song "Pariah"
Love it. One of the best bands on Fat Wreck right now
Back to the roots!
This is real deal. Really digging these guys and No Problem.
Just one more observation - if I didn't know better, I would have thought Circle Jerks put out a new album. I'm fucking into it!

Agent Orange, Adolescents, Dead Kennedys... Very early 80's California influenced
incredible album! best of 2013 so far!
Great album!
ONE WORD "This is awesome"
killing it.
I saw these guys with the Adicts and Leftover Crack, when they played my first thought as "WHO THE FUCK ARE THEY???" They blew my mind.
+Angel Diaz I was at one of those Adicts/LOC shows as well, I had heard of them a few months before and started the pit as soon as they started playing
+kilduff32 That show was fucking nuts.
Holy shit, that sounds like a killer show.
Todd M It was great, Adicts didn't live up to their fame really but Night Birds and LOC blew them offstage
Saw these guys open for the descendents last night. They sounded super good live. Never heard them before pretty impressive.

Lead singer kind of reminds me of Metal Mike from The Angry Samoans
♡ Rad
death metal head, sounds good, haven't liked new punk in a long time

Sounds like D.I.!
Exactly.
I Gotta know the Truth
ouch---I got my balls kicked big time...fucx yeah
Hate hate hate hate the ghost of Eden

anyone else get a bit of NOFX feel from the second song
actually more feel of early 80's bands like Adolescents, DI, Dead Kennedys, Agent Orange, Circle Jerks... NOFX have a more modern punk sound
Weak
Why is that mate?
