While I have never liked Halloween, even as a child, I appreciate your excitement. I do love fall and the season changing and all that goes with that season, I have just never liked Halloween.
Halloween is too creepy for me. Fall decor is fabulous.
I agree, I really don’t like Halloween, or fall, in NY fall means it’s the end of gardening season. That actually makes me sad and it starts to be gray outside every day and long cold winter. Not to be Debbie downer but it’s just the beginning of cold wet weather. Then come my favorite spring when everything comes back to life again. I do love to see how excited MaCenna and Romeo get for it though.
I like fall, and seriously do not like Halloween
Halloween provided my siblings, friends and me such a wonderful and exciting time as a child. I cherish those memories and enjoyed passing the tradition of dressing up and trick or treating to our children and grandchildren. Love it! 🎃👻
Same!! I do not like Halloween! I love the fall season, but we don't do Halloween because it's creepy.

BTW, you can donate the pumpkins (as long as they aren’t rotten) later to your zoo or a local farm. Many animals love them.
Water your mums from the bottom. Mums don’t like being watered from the top. Plus, They’ll last longer 🤗
Remember those moms need lots of watering, almost daily.

You watered your flowers and kept them out of direct bright sun light , that is why they did well.

Good lord, woman! Think you've got enough pumpkins!?!?! LOL I think you need to freeze the pumpkins after you're finished with them. I see pumpkin pies, pumpkin muffins, pumpkin bread and lots of pumpkin lattes in your future. Looks beautiful and I'm so glad you all are enjoying your home. I agree with your other viewers, please don’t take down your flag holder!! If you don’t want to hang decorative flags that’s ok, but you can always hang your American Flag! Hanging your American Flag is always a proud choice and makes your home show such Pride👍🇺🇸
Why take down the flag holder. You can put out a flag for 4th of July or Veterans Day.

I fly a flag every day. I live in a military town and it is very common here.
If you don’t want to repot, maybe add some burlap or something around the mums where you can see the plastic pot in the terracotta pot? Like inside the the pot, not on the outside. It will help it to look a little more finished. 😊

I am the only one who has decorated on my street so far. We decorated last Sunday and I love driving up to my house it makes me smile every time. My little picked the additions this year and they're too cute.

I got similar pots like the ones by your front door and painted them black… yours would look great that color and tie to the front door…

Kids. You are so talented. Next year make your own. My son is your age. Over the years he as built his own. Decorates his porch etc. very little plastic. Your young family will thank you for making your own. Bring good memories making things and building costumes.
The Jack tombstone would actually work perfectly in your theme! Jack is a skeleton cos hes dead so he would have a grave site that he crawled out of and is now standing in your yard! So good!
Make sure and water those mums everyday
Don't forget not to toss the mums out at the end of the season because they can come back next year. You could also try to save some of the seeds from the pumpkins and try to plant them. You were wanting to start a garden in the front anyway, toss a few seeds into the ground and see if that is even a good location to grow things.
I used have steps at my last house it’s a lovely thing to decorate and yours looked lovely

What happens to all the real pumpkins in USA after Halloween? In Australian we just buy pumpkins to eat. They really are very decorative though. The porch looks lovely.
We feed ours to the deer on the field behind our house. And we make pumpkin pie with the small pumpkins we grow.
I give mine to an animal sanctuary in my town. They have bears and other animals that love them! I usually don’t carve mine or anything because it’s too hot where I live and they rot within a week!
I carry mine to the wooded area behind my house. The squirrels and other critters have a treat!!
Lowe’s has an awesome Halloween arch, that you should check out!! Everything is looking great!

I have footed urns that I use for stacked pumpkins then after Thanksgiving switch to Christmas trees
I am a breast cancer survivor, 10yrs so i am doing pink decorations and burgundy mums. Then will decorate for fall November.

I love the mums in the urns but you could also stack your flat pumpkins on them as well. Next year...this year looks lovely the way it is. 🍁🍂🎃🌻

I always find people decorating their hot climate homes in fall and winter decor very cute and humourous. Autumn leave and fake snow are just reminders .of winter. Id decorate my house in beach decor all year long lol
I recently learned that there are annual mums(most of what you see in the store) and perennial mums. You'd probably have to ask a local nursery, but if you're willing to keep them alive the rest of the year, you could find the perennial ones and not have to keep paying for them.

Australian here too, we call them chrysanthemums don't we? Maybe Americans shorten it to mums. Yes I find it a bit odd.

laura over at garden answer "ages" her terracotta pots. I think it's a look you'd really like. Very aethetic, very french-cottage gardeny. I'm sure if you search on her page, you'd find the vid of how she does it.
She also has a vid on how to glaze the inside of terracotta saucers so the water doesn't leach through to the bottom and stain your surface.
