For sale in our St. Louis showroom is a very rare and exciting 1965 Pontiac 2+2. This stylish 60s muscle car is one of very few produced. The Pontiac 2+2 was a full size high performance automobile that debuted in 1964 as an interior trim option for the Pontiac Catalina, with special door panels, buckets seats and center console. Pontiac marketed the 2+2 as the "big brother" to the popular Pontiac GTO and that is exactly what you get, a large and in charge performance vehicle. This Pontiac is a fully frame-off restored and ready to go car. The exterior is coated in a dark red paint and the interior is extremely clean black vinyl. Under the hood you will find a very powerful 455 CID V8 engine and a 5-spd manual Richmond transmission. This car has just 8,954 miles since it was frame-off restored and rebuilt. The rear-end is comprised of a posi 3.42 gear. Options include: AC, AM/FM radio, CD player, power brakes, power steering, seat belts, vinyl interior, radial tires, and aluminum 8-lug wheels. This car comes with a complete, detailed list of the engine build. If you are looking for a car to terrorize the street, cruise on nice days, or score highly at a Pontiac show, please give this 2+2 a look. To view the car in greater detail, including an HD video, please visit www.gatewayclassiccars.com or our St. Louis showroom. For more information please call 618-271-3000.

That is not a true 2+2. Bench backseat and no Catalina badging

Pontiac was so pleased that 7998 customers choose the 2+2 option that it was reprised for the fully redesigned 1965 Catalina. The look was curvier and more sculpted, with a rakish fastback roofline on the coupe. Ordering the $397 2+2 Sports option eliminated Catalina badges, essentially making the 1965 2+2 its own model. The Rear Back seat was ALWAYS a Bench seat.

Looks just the last new car my Grand Dad Craven bought in 1964 as his retirement car. He was born in 1901 and died in'68 and too sick to drive it by '65. My grandmother got her drivers license in '69 in the Catalina after my grand dad died, then traded it off for the '69 Malibu (sports package) I still own and had it fully restored. Still wish she'd kept the Pontiac, what a big beautiful cherry red powerful two door.

A good straight body, bumpers are straight. Now tear it down and fix it right for every day modern driving close to NASCAR style.
