In 2018, I saw a scene on the outskirts of Berlin. An old fat German was playing a wonderful old tune on the accordion in the street. Our interpreter talked to him. As it turned out, the old man was 76 years old. The interpreter explained to us that he was hearing this music for the first time. He learned that the old man was born and raised far from Berlin, somewhere on the northern coast and spoke with elements of some old dialect, which he, the interpreter, understood with difficulty. Perhaps he had recently arrived in Berlin. It is a pity that there was no way to record this music. It was very original and, as I think now, very old. The old man did not take money, and all the listeners around were old women and several old men. Who knows, maybe they were all remembering their childhood, their native villages... their parents.
Music has this intangible but incalculable power to touch us, to make us relive moments, even if only for a few seconds in our memories. I have a memory of when I was 6 years old, my father came home from the store with a new sound system with a record player. I remember the smell of the box, my father turning on the speakers, and picking up a record by a Brazilian country music group that was very successful in the 70s and 80s called "Trio Parada Dura." The first song that started playing on side A of the record was a beautiful song called "As Andorinhas," featuring swallows that has a beautiful accordion solo. And since then, I have been in love with the instrument.

Слушать радио преимущественно на коротких волнах увлекательно. Здесь, в Сан-Паулу, мне уже удалось настроиться на загадочный зуммер UVB 76 с помощью SDR. Когда я был подростком, я был радиолюбителем на 11-метровом диапазоне, однажды мне удалось поговорить с островом Мадейра недалеко от Португалии на боковом диапазоне. У меня сегодня мало времени, но это интересно.
