My car has the aux port and the usb port already my forscan also says i have sync 1.1 but when i push my phone button it doesnt do anything. The sync media button just goes back to the raido. Is there any way to get it back?
Thanks for the vid! I was able to get the menu but under climate controls it only says auto or last setting but never seems to save last setting. Is there a way to change to this different menu?
There may be a way to change that menu, but I am not 100% sure what values to change in asbuilt to eliminate the last setting
I activated the remote start on my 2015 PIU (Explorer). It works, but the range is abysmal...
What did you do to change displayed picture on the right hand side of the screen? Mine shows an overhead picture of the car but yours looks like it has advanced settings of some sort.
This is how they come if you have the aux steering wheel buttons on the 2013-15. 2016+ They started having a picture of the car on the right.
Do you know how to make the picture of the car work?
@@depolicify Not exactly. My 2013 has the picture of the car next to it. Some features came with "AUX" buttons for LE agencies and the ones that didn't came with a steering wheel that had MUTE and MEDIA in its place. The regular civi steering wheel has sync buttons.
Than you for the great video. How did you position the remote start antenna? I believe you mentioned about it in your center console video but then you did not have a remote start. Does it matter that mine is buried in front of the center console?

@@depolicify thank you for the reply. I configured forscan per your instructions and bought a non-OEM key fob. Remote start worked but only when I was close to the car. I thought the battery was the issue, so I replaced it - didn’t help. Returned, bought a different one - same thing. That’s why I thought maybe it was the location of the antenna. I think it’s the knock off fob though.
@@andreik1775 I'm having the same issue. Remote start has a range of maybe 15 feet.
@@TubeRadiosRule hello, I was able to improve the range with two things: obtained a used antenna DA8Z15603A (found it on a 2011 Edge), removed the plastic cover, extended the wire, and placed it over the headliner above the rear view mirror. Second, I found a used OEM key fob 164-R8067 from an F150, cut off the key blade and programmed the buttons with 8 key turns. I think the key fob made the most difference. My OEM 164-R8091 fob that I bought on eBay worked no better than the aftermarket ones. Maybe it was a knockoff.
