The same propaganda ( not every propaganda is malicious) is happening in the Japanese manga industry. Manga and anime about married couples and families have increased significantly in the last few years.
This is not their first episode. In fact, their very first episode featured their children [whom some commenters bashed because the daughter and the son doesn't look like either parent]. Jieun [a Korean TROT singer] explained on the very first episode that their small family moved a couple of times that's why they didn't want too much things. The couple was even featured looking at a secondhand shop selling....secondhand appliances. Also some Asians sleep on mattresses [or like in Japan - a futon] only. Some Koreans prefer that over Western style beds
