@@herndblr Yes if you are hired as a full time officer in Rosemont You will be sent to the Fire Academy First and then go to the Police Academy, As far as the Fire Rigs having a lock box i am not sure but they do have their service weapon on them as well. And the rotation between PD and FD to my understanding is every 2 weeks to a month
So Arvell ,do you know what's currently going on at Station 2 on HIggins road. I know that Station 2 was being used for storing some of the reserve apparatus and that it was also being used as the ambulance station,however I had heard recently that it might be also used for responding companies as well. Apparently Station 1 is now running with an ambulance also. So did you find out if any of the rigs at station 2 are in service or are they only reserve units? I see that Station 1 has 2 reserve Engines now. I believe that the Squad is a jump company . Where if they need the Squad the men jump off of the Truck to man it, correct? How many men are usually on duty now ,per shift?
Rosemont has been switching their rig around from Station 1 and 2 for a while now. Station 2 is still a ambulance station and also they recently got a new ambulance. Usually the companies run 3 guys on the rigs and the squad is cross manned by the truck crews.
