Excellent video with good information. You have such a friendly sounding voice when speaking English!
haha, I didn't know that. I'm glad I sound friendly. Thank you always! :)
Your videos are always so informative and interesting. I appreciate all the effort you put into them. Definitely planning to see Roppongi! Finally arrived in Tokyo- getting through customs and immigration took a little longer than in the past, but there were so many people! Im so happy to finally be back in Japan. Thank you for helping me plan my trip!🌸
That's great you arrived Tokyo safe! Welcome to Japan. Right, depends on the arrival time, it seems it's taking long at the airport. I wish you the best trip in Japan! 🌸🗼
This is great! Thank you. I'm defiantly going to explore more of these places you've suggested, off the beaten tourist track and the melon bread looks yummy!!
Thank you for watching. I'm glad you liked some neighborhoods! The melon bread is good. 👍🍈
This is where I would like to be at when I'm in Tokyo instead of crowded areas....
Thank you for sharing this video~~ 💕
Thank you for watching. :) I hope you like these neighborhoods.
Very interesting! Nice to see a different side of Tokyo!
Thank you for watching Cerwin san. :)
absolutely great video! learnt a lot since I am planning a trip very soon, so thank you so much!!!
Yes, I want to see more of Tokyo without the crowds! Great vlog!! Thank you again.. (Love the trains)
I'm glad to hear you liked the train models. :) Thank you!
your videos helped me enjoy my trip to Tokyo last May with great memories Thank you
Terrific video. Many good tips for my visit to Tokyo next February. Thank you very much 😃.
Thank you for watching and your message. I hope you have a great trip in Tokyo. 😄
Love your food reviews. Short and sweet. The way it should be. 😆
Haha, thank you. Long time no see. I hope you are doing well.
Very nice video. All the information is being added to my Japan visit plans! Thank you.
Thank you for watching! I hope you find your favorite spots in Tokyo during your trip. :)
Great video. Love these less popular areas, good to see a different side of Tokyo. I love exploring such places .I definitely want to eat that clambowl next month
.
Thank you. Yes, the clam bowl place is a little different restaurants like someone's house that you take off your shoes if you are guided to upstairs, but it's something you don't find in other parts of Tokyo. :)
Thank you for the suggestions!
Thank you. I hope you have a great trip. :)
Love your videos. Just subscribed. I have visited Tokyo 4 times, Kyoto 2, Niigata as well (where we rented a car and drove around!).
Kiyosumi actually we visited accidentally and we loved it. We found the most interesting little bookstore we had ever seen in Japan and we ate nice ramen in a very local ラーメンゃ。
With my wife and 4yo son would love to have the chance to live to Japan sometime. It would be great if sometime you had some time and you would make a video on areas in Tokyo that a small family could find interesting an a bit more affordable to live.
ありがとうございます!
Thank you. That's great you've found Kiyosumi Shirakawa. It's a nice interesting area. I'd like to talk about more different neighborhoods of Tokyo in the future. :)
I'VE SEEN MINIATURE TRAIN IN MOTION IN KYOTO TRAIN MUSEUM.
Very helpful & informative.
I would have loved to find a mention of the buzzing Harajuku.
Moreover, just outside Tokyo, I find Kyoto & Yokohama are fast coming up as alternatives to Tokyo and offer the best too.
Thank you and have a wonderful weekend in God's own country, Japan ~
Great video! I will try this next month.
Thank you. I hope you'll have a great time in Tokyo.
I love Nogi shrine, one of my favorites in Tokyo! Small shine, but beautiful cherry trees there.
That's great you've been to Nogi shrine! Right, I don't see many people get off at Kokuritsu. A5 exit (Shinjuku side) is right in front of Sendagaya station and a few minutes walk to Shinjuku Gyoen. :)
i will try to map this out next time my visit to japan thanks
Thank you. I hope you have a great trip in Tokyo. :)
great video! thank you for putting these videos together!
Thank you for watching and your message!
Thank you for sharing Kengo-San! I’m going to add to the list. I’m kinda planning next early February so I can attend the Tokyo Orchid Show at Tokyo Dome exhibition hall…
Oh wow that sounds like a great idea! I've never been so maybe I'll try to go too. Thank you for letting me know. :)
I hope to see you there Kengo-San! It would be nice to meet you!🙋🏻♂️
Thank you! I hope so too :)
Ah! Another reason to comeback to Japan!!
I hope you had a great trip in Tokyo!
@@tokyokenchan yes, it was great!! Hope next time me can meet up. Hokkaido maybe.. hahaha
From these 7 neighborhoods, Kiyosumi Shirakawa is the most appealing to me. I may go there when I return from Fukuoka next week. In my last 2 days, we will stay in Shiodome area, please recommend me a couple of things to see/to do. We plan to do so much more than we can do physically. We are planning a return visit already; unfortunately not until after 1.5 years! Your videos have helped our planning immensely. 👍👍👍👍
Hello Edna san, I'm glad that you are already planning the next trip to Japan. If you like to avoid the crowd, Kiyosumi Shirakawa might be good. Shiodome is facing Ginza and Hamarikyu Garden by the bay, so I think it's a good place to visit. My Ginza video is coming soon. I hope you have a great time rest of the trip. :)
Thank you for the video
Thank you for watching. :)
Thank you, Kenchan, for sharing this. It’s important when every other youtuber posts similar content of famous places, i want something different.. so thanks for the tip! I like the last place. as a local, have u personally been to every neighbourhood in tokyo?
Hello, thank you for watching and your comment. I think I have been to most of the neighborhood as it's my hobby to walk around Tokyo. But there are some stations I haven't got off since there are more than 600 stations in Tokyo. :)
いいですね keep up the hard work!
Thank you for watching and your kind words!
Awesome!
Thank you!! Chris san.
I always enjoy Kenchan's insightful travels. I will be going to Nagasaki in November and wonder if it is easy to get from NGS to the city which seems to be pretty far away. The airport transfer was trying to charge 700 $ US for just one way!
Nagasaki airport to Nagasaki is a bit far away. The airport bus is 1200 Yen so like ($7) one way. Just in case, this "Nagasaki" in the video is in Tokyo, so not the same as the famous Nagasaki in Kyushu. nagasaki-airport.jp/en/access/bus/

Hi Ken chan, thank you for this video. I have a day free next Thursday. perhaps i can explore some of these places. The cafe at 3:29 is very familiar. I have seen this place used for a japanese drama in 2022 i think (Dakara Korosenakatta, Mikkoku wa Utau, Jashin no Tenbin Koan Bunseki Han, or another government debt collection agency based in osaka in the 1990s)
EDIT: I will also be going to Roppongi at night to see the night illumination!
Thank you for watching the video. Oh I didn't know that, you watch lots of interesting dramas. :) Yes, Midtown and Ropongi Hills are good places for cherry blossoms illuminations. :)
Thank you, kenchan! I have a question. On my last day I would like to stay near naritas airport. Where do you recommend me to stay?. Narita, Port Plaza chiba, funabashi, or any recommendations. Thank you!😊
If you like to stay near Narita, I recommend Narita station or airport hotels. Toyoko Inn by the airport is reasonable. www.toyoko-inn.com/sp/eng/search/detail/00288/ Narita also has some good attractions such as temples and plane view spots if you have time there.
Where is the building in Shiodome?
The building is called Caretta Shiodome. The entrance to the elevator is in the B1 floor.
Cool. I've only been to Kuramae to "transfer" where it got put on the short list of places not to transfer. heh.
haha. Yes, I don't know why they couldn't connect underground for the same Toei Subways.
Hello Kenchan, can you tell me the name of the street with ginko trees near Aoyama Icchome St?
Hi, I couldn’t find the name of the street, but it’s called Gaien Icho Namiki. It starts from Aoyama nichome traffic light on Aoyama Dori street.
@@tokyokenchan Thank you so much Kenchan, I would love to visit it in the autumn
@@zeejay8198 Sounds great. I hope you have a great trip in Autumn. :)
Is this a good place for a family to stay in Tokyo? "Tokyo, Chiyoda-ku Ichiban-cho 23-1"
This brand is categorized as a little better than business hotel that is called life style business hotel. It's a clean office area right behind UK embassy. Not an area with lots of shops and dining options, so children might find the area a little boring, but it's the balance with what kind of room you book and rates.. Being at the right in front of station is a great plus. This line takes you to Shibuya directly, but to all other locations, you need to change trains once or twice. Sorry I couldn't be much help!
@@tokyokenchan very helpful thank you
Thank you for the video! Kanda/Jimbocho is another great neighborhood to visit. Lots of amazing ramen shops and diverse restaurants.
Thank you for letting me know. I've only been to Jinbocho for an old coffee shop and used books stores, but sounds like I need to explore more. I'll definitely cover the neighborhood in the future. :)
Thank you for your video! It was very interesting and detailed.
Thank you for watching!
Nice. Tokyo is huge!
