Rainbow released it almost 5 years ago and arent even together any more. For one, I was worried that this song might be buried by all the new search results but I am glad that there are people who were able to come here and watch this video.
Actually, while DSP "officially" disbanded Rainbow, all the members recently returned with the entire lineup of members and released Aurora(along with a music video funded by the group's leader Jaekyung). They even did an episode of Idol Room! As they were frequent guests of the original Weekly Idol with Hyungdon and Defcon, it was nice to see that they were able to do promotions for a 10th anniversary song alongside MCs they were frequent guests of their previous show. All the members seem to still be friendly with one another. If you follow their social media accts, you'd see that some members frequently appear in one another's timelines. They still seem to get together as an whole group for special events(birthdays etc.) too.
I know everyone has their own taste and I respect that. But... I still don't understand why this song was flopped. Not winning in music show, okay I can understand that amongst many contenders, but flopped? This song is that bad? I know, again this is just my personal opinion, but I think this one of the best song I've heard in early 2015. I'm not even a fan of RAINBOW. I know about them but never really listened to them, until this song comes. Really love it! It's still in my playlist until now. I don't know... I just can't understand... And it's really shame if DSP would cut Rainbow out after this.

Quan Mai Some people said because they used the wrong concept. Because this song was released around spring, but they used a dark winter concept in it, so it didn't match with the feeling. I don't know if that's true or not, but if it's true, that's insane. A song is a song, the music is the most important aspect.

But I don't think something like concept, lyric's meaning, outfit...matters that much to international fans, cuz we usually don't understand their language, culture...As long as the song is catchy, nothing else is important. Quan Mai Yeah, I know. International fans often have different taste than Korean fans. Because for us who didn't fully understand the language, we solely enjoy the melody and the rhythm. And yeah, nothing we can do. It's just that I feel so sad due to Rainbow could be disbanded because they never really made it that high, especially with this single turned out to be a financial disaster.

After School, Rainbow, Secret and Sistar.. Best Korean groups ever!! I am happy for Sistar though, they were the only one that got recognition, while AS had unique concepts and were not so popular, Rainbow had so many goods songs and always flopped and Secret that always had the power to conquer K-Pop but did not. :( Edit: Oh, there is FIESTAR too, which I love every song and member. Top 5.
DSP really needs to stop being such a shitty company. With KARAs bad promotions and horrible management leading to its disbandment, to RAINBOWs almost nonexistent management in general leading to this really amazing song flopping DSP really does not know how to manage their groups. I pray pray pray that APRIL gets off its feet and is a really big success, but DSP needs to remember it has other groups to properly manage too.

they WERE POPULAR back in A era and that come to me, then they went into japan to promote for idk how many years, of course they got decayed in korea and whne they came back, they were not that popular anymore. Later on i tihnk 2014 or so? They released this video before the sunshine mv, that was their another hit, but when they did sunshin , another style of the prev song, they weren't gave a recognition anymore. Later on thye created this song and koreans slept on them because it's boring, not bubbly or so. It's not even that sexy, more like a sexy with an art (if you know what I mean). Then they came up with whoo, which wasn't really that popular. I remember when it was BS era, they promoted themselves in Weekly Idol, it was segment for random dance play, and sadly, they don't even remember any of they movements anymore because they don't perform. Basically it's DSP's fault for not promoting them as much. Either when they stayed in JP the had more loss than gains thats why it resulted to be like this.
DSP, you could have done so much better. That 'Black Swan' concept could have looked awesome if you had been more creative. The original story of the Black swan is amazing, why didn't you use it to include some kind of storyline in the MV?No, all we get is just a couple of close ups and slow motion movements. What a waste. Same goes for the song. The beginning sounded pretty good but the chorus sounds kinda boring imo. Hope the other songs of the album will be better. (And don't kill me if you think i'm harsh, i'm just saying my opinion, you don't have to agree but don't start insulting me, i just expected something better coming from this company with such an interesting concept)

It still blows my mind that this flopped. How. HOW??? This is absolute perfection, all of it! The song was really good for me. To those who says it's trash , i think they don't know to appreciate music. The background music was too great for me. The message of the song is soo strong that you feel so much emotion into it. The way rainbow conveys the message was so dramatic. It's not about how catchy a song is, it's about how feelings or emotion was expressed by it. I know being catchy is a must but learn to appreciate music. Im tired of those people who judge a song but never know what it is all about.

I love their songs so much, since they debuted with "A" until "Whoo". thank you for these amazing 7 years. I will miss the group, and cant wait for their individual projects. wish them all the best!
Bioooze ... wow, you're probably right. it's been many years since i gave up crappy soapboxes (headmounted or freestanding), so i've forgot that 99% of consumer products are overpriced krakkencrap, thus good music rarely stands a chance to be fairly listened to. and yeah, today i just found Rainbow, only by recommendation from a comment waaaay down on the list on some other video. but their videos never popped in my youtube "watch next" list, no matter how much kpop i played. and yeah, they're GOOD. like Stellar good 😏. and what an infernal shame, they're already out. after long years of making good music deserving the very top. so in the end i guess korean pop scene is just like in any other country : it's not about music at all, not even about beauty ; it's all about hype and fame.
Yeah it kind of fits that most pop listeners aren't going to have very good audio stuff, because it is expensive. The minimum I would recommend for a good speaker setup attached to your desktop goes like this: B&W CM5 speakers, about $1500 US for a pair. Onkyo A-9050 integrated amp, about $350 US. Paradigm Monitor SUB 12 subwoofer with PBK room corrector, about $1200 delivered to your door by Paradigm in Canada. If your computer has an optical digital audio output on the back, use that, connected to the optical input on the amp. A setup like that is great for "near-field" listening, like when you are only about 2 feet away from the monitor and speakers. If you want to do this with a big screen TV and a couch that is like 9 feet away, you would need bigger speakers. You can get good sound for a lot less $ with headphones of course, but when I discovered Kpop, I got tired of wearing headphones in a hurry because I was doing so much listening. That's when I bought the good speaker system. Good headphones, several hundred dollars US, probably something like AudioQuest NightHawk for about $700 US. But I don't have those yet so can't really say for sure. The headsets I do have are in the $300 or less category, and I don't use them anymore. Hype and fame, the bandwagon effect, that's on the fans. That's their fault. Most of the people in the (Korean) industry are actually interested in quality. They produce quite a bit of good sounding stuff just because they want to, and because of national pride, and because they can, given modern technology. Regardless of fan stupidity.

i was literally obsessed with this song back then! i remember watching black swan (as in the movie with natalie portman in it) and loving that, then i stumbled upon this song and thought that they were probably inspired by the movie which was pretty amazing for a korean girl group concept 🥺

I comeback time from time to have a throwback marathon. And everytime I think this song was newer and came out in 2017, I'm reminded that it's a bit older and was ahead of its time.
It was way ahead of its time and to be pick as a comeback song of a group with long hiatus is a big no. They should either have gone with pierrot. Then if they were able to stabilize the group they could go for song like this.
I would say the song isn't as bad as many comments made me think it'd sound, so give it a try and make your own decision of it, to those who read comments before watching. but i will agree that i'm disappointed at the line distribution. while i'm happy Seungah gets a little more than usual, i'm upset at the lack of Noeul and Yoonhye...the lack or none? idk....but now the only thing they can do is to change it up for performances and give some lines from members who have lots of lines to members with none/barely any. Even one or two would do T^T...still, i'm not crazy bout this particular song but the album is really filled with awesome songs overall, i'm happy with the sophistication n quality of the music in this album. Im hearing that noeul and yoonhye got 2 lines this is why im bit disspointed :( i have been seen noeul's lines 'was on 'i say it woo woo woo woo woo' and 'geumgeum haeyo nae moseubi' and yoonhye's lines was on 'gaseumul woo woo woo woo woo' and 'geumgeum haeyo nae moseubi' but im still happy that they finally make a comeback and the song its so catchy tho! it already grow on me xD

0:45 Jaekyung is so pretty and sexy... I love this concept but the bad luck and always is the same, is the bad promotion of DSP Media. They have talent but all the talent is wasted in this discography since SS501 is inactive or when Nicole and Jiyoung members of Kara, the discography never have awakened since then. But they never treat Rainbow like they deserve. I'm praying for a good future for them and a good treatment by part of another the staff and the Ceo.
The beginning sounded like it was going for a unique sound. I had a feeling it was going somewhere then the chorus kinda fell off the map for me. I like the song overall~ Beautiful M/V though! I kinda wish there was something with it. Like a storyline or something. The directors could've really done some creative stuff with this. I'm not a fan of Rainbow, but my friend begged me to check it out since I'm into dark concepts like this. Not bad though^^
Yeah I wish they had more elements from the movie. Kinda like how BEG did with Kill Bill. But they did add some things, like some ballet choreography and the going insane in front of the mirror.

This is the only song I know of them. However, I think it deserves a higher views because this is song is so beautiful. From it's outfit, vocal, beat, theme and choreography.
I'm a little bit disappointed with the song, especially the chorus part. I don't know...it's just kind of repetitive to me. :/ I just hope it will grow on me. Omer Slezovic Actually Gossip Girl was their debut song not A. A was restricted because of the sexy dance part where they lift up their tops, exposing their midriffs during "A A A A.." part of the chorus. It is more obvious in the Japanese PV version of A.
Amazing mv and song ♥ This is not the typical catchy song that everyone listen to but it's definitely awesome! I love this type of songs, absolutely better than "Sunshine" or "Tell me". Better doing good songs and not becoming popular than becoming popular doing average songs. Good job Rainbow~

After School, Rainbow, Secret and Sistar.. Best Korean groups ever!! I am happy for Sistar though, they were the only one that got recognition, while AS had unique concepts and were not so popular, Rainbow had so many goods songs and always flopped and Secret that always had the power to conquer K-Pop but did not. :(

DSP really needs to stop being such a shitty company. With KARAs bad promotions and horrible management leading to its disbandment, to RAINBOWs almost nonexistent management in general leading to this really amazing song flopping DSP really does not know how to manage their groups. I pray pray pray that APRIL gets off its feet and is a really big success, but DSP needs to remember it has other groups to properly manage too.

they WERE POPULAR back in A era and that come to me, then they went into japan to promote for idk how many years, of course they got decayed in korea and whne they came back, they were not that popular anymore. Later on i tihnk 2014 or so? They released this video before the sunshine mv, that was their another hit, but when they did sunshin , another style of the prev song, they weren't gave a recognition anymore. Later on thye created this song and koreans slept on them because it's boring, not bubbly or so. It's not even that sexy, more like a sexy with an art (if you know what I mean). Then they came up with whoo, which wasn't really that popular.
I remember when it was BS era, they promoted themselves in Weekly Idol, it was segment for random dance play, and sadly, they don't even remember any of they movements anymore because they don't perform.
Basically it's DSP's fault for not promoting them as much. Either when they stayed in JP the had more loss than gains thats why it resulted to be like this.

DSP, you could have done so much better. That 'Black Swan' concept could have looked awesome if you had been more creative. The original story of the Black swan is amazing, why didn't you use it to include some kind of storyline in the MV?No, all we get is just a couple of close ups and slow motion movements. What a waste. Same goes for the song. The beginning sounded pretty good but the chorus sounds kinda boring imo. Hope the other songs of the album will be better. (And don't kill me if you think i'm harsh, i'm just saying my opinion, you don't have to agree but don't start insulting me, i just expected something better coming from this company with such an interesting concept)

The song was really good for me. To those who says it's trash , i think they don't know to appreciate music. The background music was too great for me. The message of the song is soo strong that you feel so much emotion into it. The way rainbow conveys the message was so dramatic. It's not about how catchy a song is, it's about how feelings or emotion was expressed by it.
I know being catchy is a must but learn to appreciate music. Im tired of those people who judge a song but never know what it is all about.

Bioooze ... wow, you're probably right. it's been many years since i gave up crappy soapboxes (headmounted or freestanding), so i've forgot that 99% of consumer products are overpriced krakkencrap, thus good music rarely stands a chance to be fairly listened to. and yeah, today i just found Rainbow, only by recommendation from a comment waaaay down on the list on some other video. but their videos never popped in my youtube "watch next" list, no matter how much kpop i played. and yeah, they're GOOD. like Stellar good 😏. and what an infernal shame, they're already out. after long years of making good music deserving the very top. so in the end i guess korean pop scene is just like in any other country : it's not about music at all, not even about beauty ; it's all about hype and fame.
Yeah it kind of fits that most pop listeners aren't going to have very good audio stuff, because it is expensive. The minimum I would recommend for a good speaker setup attached to your desktop goes like this:
B&W CM5 speakers, about $1500 US for a pair.
Onkyo A-9050 integrated amp, about $350 US.
Paradigm Monitor SUB 12 subwoofer with PBK room corrector, about $1200 delivered to your door by Paradigm in Canada.
If your computer has an optical digital audio output on the back, use that, connected to the optical input on the amp.
A setup like that is great for "near-field" listening, like when you are only about 2 feet away from the monitor and speakers. If you want to do this with a big screen TV and a couch that is like 9 feet away, you would need bigger speakers.
You can get good sound for a lot less $ with headphones of course, but when I discovered Kpop, I got tired of wearing headphones in a hurry because I was doing so much listening. That's when I bought the good speaker system.
Good headphones, several hundred dollars US, probably something like AudioQuest NightHawk for about $700 US. But I don't have those yet so can't really say for sure. The headsets I do have are in the $300 or less category, and I don't use them anymore.
Hype and fame, the bandwagon effect, that's on the fans. That's their fault. Most of the people in the (Korean) industry are actually interested in quality. They produce quite a bit of good sounding stuff just because they want to, and because of national pride, and because they can, given modern technology. Regardless of fan stupidity.

I comeback time from time to have a throwback marathon. And everytime I think this song was newer and came out in 2017, I'm reminded that it's a bit older and was ahead of its time.
It was way ahead of its time and to be pick as a comeback song of a group with long hiatus is a big no. They should either have gone with pierrot. Then if they were able to stabilize the group they could go for song like this.

They have talent but all the talent is wasted in this discography since SS501 is inactive or when Nicole and Jiyoung members of Kara, the discography never have awakened since then. The beginning sounded like it was going for a unique sound. I had a feeling it was going somewhere then the chorus kinda fell off the map for me. I like the song overall~ Beautiful M/V though! I kinda wish there was something with it. Like a storyline or something. The directors could've really done some creative stuff with this. Andreu egea ramon for some reason koreans really dis Rainbow, idk why because they are not any different than any other girl group out there, I couldnt believe they actually age restricted their debut song A , like wtf !LOL its the most normal song and mv -.-
Omer Slezovic Actually Gossip Girl was their debut song not A. A was restricted because of the sexy dance part where they lift up their tops, exposing their midriffs during "A A A A.." part of the chorus. It is more obvious in the Japanese PV version of A.

This is not the typical catchy song that everyone listen to but it's definitely awesome!
I love this type of songs, absolutely better than "Sunshine" or "Tell me".
Better doing good songs and not becoming popular than becoming popular doing average songs.

I agree it`s not the typical catchy song but unique ^^. I kinda like it when hearing it over and over again :). Rainbow GO GO GO!!! They hate the song bc it is not a catchy song because they always listen to catchy song now a days and if a group comes out with a different type of beat... they would be like this where they would keep saying ughh I`m disappointed by blah blah!!! ugghhh I hate this type of people!!! please just support them :). Plus every singer doesn`t do catchy song every time bc they want to expand their base ^^

Another amazing girl group that didnt get what they deserved. They deserved a lot of attention & lot of wins!! They’re amazing in every aspects, great vocal line, no visual hole. Probably koreans netizen dont really like the “too perfect “ kind of girlgroup like this . Same thing happened to similar type of group like 9 muses and after school. “Perfect visual & perfect body” is intimidating and ppl dont like to be intimidated, i think.
