I may have been upset with her, but I'm not an evil person and they are still her children. I'm thinking that my calm manner and fairness is one of the factors that helped win her back.
Thanks for sharing! We have a similar situation. 16 years of marriage and 3 kids and I started doing no contact about a week ago. I only have conversations about the kids and nothing else. I let her reach out to me regarding any conversation or questions regarding the kids. I only respond with short answers. I hold no grudges because I know that it’s not going to work if I have resentment in my heart.
Hello, I almost have the same situation. 15 years marriage and two kids. After making all the mistakes, I moved in the first week of January away and left my wife and the kids in our house. I also struggle with the no contact rules because we needed to clarify finances, which was very rough. Now i only communicate stuff related to the kids, like picking up from school etc. Since this week, we aligned on new contact rules for the kids, so i hope i can reduce the communication with her to almost zero. Every Thursday, I pick up my 7 year old sun after school and bring him back home for sleeping. And every Friday, I take both of them and bring them back Saturday evening. The 1st best thing about NC is working on yourself and realising your value doesn't depend on them. 2nd best thing is only dealing with your own energy. Everyone is either a lesson or a blessing. Time will tell

I'm in the same boat beth. My ex chose to ghost me for two months not even wanting to see me at all. She would very rarely message me or talk to me after our last vacation in July after her birthday. She broke my damn heart, I truly felt she was the woman I was gonna vow my life to, was even gonna take her to a beautiful place and get on my knee and propose to her, but here we are now. She got into a rebound not even a month after our breakup. Time will tell. Stay strong, I know it's hell, I was there in it, apart of me still is. Stay strong friend.
If you did nothing wrong ...he will remember you. Usually, they don't say anything because they know they did u wrong and thus are afraid of you rejecting them. Stick to the course. The rule of thumb is it takes half the time of the relationship for the heart to heal. God can heal you as early as he wants tho. Stay strong and trust God ✨

I’ve been about 2 and a half months of no contact and have been doing really well. Haven’t broken no contact at all and and working on improving myself and spending time with my friends and have been feeling great. I even felt like I was ready to move on. Then this weekend came and all of a sudden these emotions came flooding back to me and feel the need to reach out to my ex again. I need some encouragement to stay in no contact because I know it is the right thing even though we ended as good as a break up can be.
She came back after 2 weeks the first time, 1 month the second time, 2 months the third time. This time it took 5 months. The difference is that the first 3 times, I managed to pull off NC out of sheer willpower. This time I did NC out of love for myself. Oh boy do you grow when you show love and care for yourself.

I dated this girl and we broke up years back. I gave up on trying to contact her and yea from time to time over the years she will message me. And she invited me out for a coffee last week. Its crazy that when she broke up with me back then i was so depressed and suicidal. Yeah, she doesn't do any of these and it's painfully obvious that she has fallen out of love. It's only been a month and we've been in touch intermittently but honestly to lose the love of my life feels like a pain I've never experienced before. Maybe if I die she'll come to see me again and love me for one last time. I only wish I could see that but I can't. I don't know how to make it through the night. No contact didn't get my ex back but got me back. 7 months on and feel good but dreading getting back in to the dating game. Not so easy in your early 50s. I think the no contact rule to get your ex back for older couples doesn't work as good as for younger people. Good luck to you all 💪

Really don't care that much, she gave up. I moved on and found someone new. Better relationship, never looked back. Only thing I would like to do is thank my ex. for letting me live again. Best thing she ever did. Now I realize what a narcissist my ex. was.

I'm in a tough spot. I got dumped not even a week ago, and apparently shes had someone else for a few months. We live together and family is always around, but she's only home during the weekends and dorming during the week for college. Whether I want her or not, I just want to have a mature response that doesn't sacrifice me telling her that I'm in so much pain. That yeah she's happy, but really? My friend, I was in the same boat months ago. She clearly had been talking to this other person, behind your back, there is nothing wrong with you being angry, rage ridden, and depressed. That person broke your damn heart, drug you through the mud. That was being unfaithful and that was a rebound/side dude. Work on yourself, get stronger physically and mentally. Mine hurt me, made me a miserable pile of rage and hate. I know the pain, that was and the keyword is was, the woman I was going to propose to this year shortly, and here I am six months later after our breakup and her rebound... Stay strong, because you will become stronger and they will see and realize they were wrong.
You just need to get out of there my best advice is get multiple jobs or get new hobbies to keep you out the house it’ll help you clear your mind block her on all socials even her number better yet delete it from ur contacts

One week no contact . We broke up three weeks ago and the first two weeks we hung out on and off as I tried to convince her to get back. After the first time we hung out I gave her space and she contacted me the next day saying how much she loves me and wishes we were together and that you don’t know what you have till you lost it but that she hopes either her or the next girl treats me right and she needs to be by herself to grow. Hi Coach Lee, First, a huge thank you for all that you do. I've watched hours and hours of your content, and you've given me strength and hope. My story involves a complicated mix of cross-culturality, infertility and mental health. I hope you'll eventually post videos involving these issues. In short: I'm an American living in eastern France. My boyfriend (a German) left me from one day to the next, last November after 6 years together (the last 2.5 of which we were trying to have a baby and were suffering from infertility on my side). He was suffering from anxiety attacks, due to his own depression, but also due to my own mental health issues (OCD). Our fertility treatments were finally getting more serious, and I think he was terrified about how my OCD would affect our children (as I hadn't yet sought treatment for it). In February, after I returned to France with my mother after Christmas, he offered to take my mom and me to a city in Germany for a day trip. I knew this was his way of "testing the waters" after our breakup (especially with my mom around, to act as a "buffer"). After he brought us home, I received a long text from him, saying how emotional the day was for him and that seeing me and having a great day together brought memories and feelings back. Since then, I've given him subtle opportunities to see my mom and me again before she goes back to the US, but he's either refused or hasn't responded. Later, I text him that needed to discuss some logistics with him by phone, and he said he was hesitant, because talking to me would be "ripping open wounds and confusing for him." I know he still has feelings (he has said so himself), but it's like the day trip was so powerful, that he's terrified to see me anymore. It's like it had the opposite affect that it was supposed to...
how bout both go to confession for fornicating. this situation is the consequence of sin. you shouldn’t be trying to get pregnant when you aren’t married. for your children’s sake only have sex with someone you are married to so the child is raised by a mother and father. everyone is all wrapped up in their own feelings instead of having an objective view of reality. people feel depressed as though they are a victim of circumstances when in reality they are a victim of their own bad choices.

I’m just a stranger on the internet. I just feel for you, it sounds like a lot you are going through. I hope your heart heals. Either way as you seem to be aware I hope you get help for your mental health you deserve to feel better. It’s not easy as the recent stress of fertility issues. If you get back together make sure both of you separately and together have healed before bringing children on top of an already fragile relationship. Studies clearly show children are a stressor even on strong relationships. As heartbreaking as it is if your partner couldn’t handle the stress of infertility it is unlikely they can weather parenthood with you either. I’ve unfortunately seen this story many times, with and without children in the end. All th best
"Ripping open wounds and confusing for him" means he already sees this relationship as part of his past. You're pushing things and he feels uncomfortable with that. You don't need to be a Coach Lee to see this as obvious. Sorry if you find this too confronting but ultimately this is what will help you the most. He's not as serious as you about this relationship.
My ex girlfriend of six months just broke up with me 13 days ago. I found your videos the next day and they have been so helpful. My ex broke up due to personal trauma and felt she wasn't good for me. We both were in love and she even said in the last conversation together that our love was real and that she just isnt good for me. However, she has kept me on Facebook and whats weird is I'm still Facebook friends with her family. Her aunt is one Facebook friend and my ex saw her aunt the day after we broke up and still after many days of being broken up her aunt likes my posts. It appears my ex didn't tell her aunt and probably the rest of her family. She is extremely close to her aunt so Im hoping she didn't tell her because she just needs some space and will eventually come back.

When that ended to told them I still cared so they knew but then they stopped talking everyday so after a while I moved on & now they stalk me. Lol ppl are funny that way. I am doing NC. My ex reached out a day after the break up. Asked me how I was doing. Said I am fine and asked her the same. Told me she misses me and I take care. Told her thank you and take care too. After a day, I was left on READ and she deleted the I miss you message. After that, silence for 3 days and counting. I saw her watching my stories though. Here is the problem: it's been no contact for three three months. Today is the second time I received a package from my ex in the past two months. The first box came with a note. In it, he wrote…”We need to make a clean break... You’ll never move on if I’m on your horizon. ” etc. etc. I’m going to wait a few days until I open the box. Maybe I’ll wait a couple of weeks or a month or two. Perhaps I’ll put it in the attic for a year. Or should I throw it out and continue moving on without them?
He dumped me and blocked me immediately. Totally out of the blue. I went NC but so has he! I doubt I’ll ever hear from him again… at times I just wonder how he just left like that.

I see my ex at work daily. We both said we loved eachother but things went south and we became two separate people as opposed to close and loving. I made my stance known that the immaturity of the situation was not ok with me. I guess that’s where we left it. It’s been almost a year. I know we both feel a way, but it’s not gonna be said now. I don’t understand why you’re sending it. A clean slate letter is usually to apologize for something you’ve done that’s really bad. If I were you, and I hope you’ll do this, I would just disappear without a word. Let her figure it out and wonder about it. That is the strongest thing you can do by far and gives you the best chance of her coming back.

Coach lee, my bf broke up with me today after a year together. He loves me and I mean the world to him still. I’ve just emotionally drained him with my own mental issues. I've been keeping up with the no contact rule for a bit of time now, it hasn't been very long since my breakup happened. But it already shows when she texts me she always asks what im doing, or If I have any plans for the day. I keep the detail very small, sometimes nothing at all when I respond. She has also been asking me if I would play games with her (because we played video games a lot when we we're together) I dont say no, I politely either tell her im a bit busy or we can later. I may have been upset with her, but I'm not an evil person and they are still her children. I'm thinking that my calm manner and fairness is one of the factors that helped win her back.

I almost have the same situation. 15 years marriage and two kids. After making all the mistakes, I moved in the first week of January away and left my wife and the kids in our house. I also struggle with the no contact rules because we needed to clarify finances, which was very rough. Now i only communicate stuff related to the kids, like picking up from school etc. Since this week, we aligned on new contact rules for the kids, so i hope i can reduce the communication with her to almost zero. Every Thursday, I pick up my 7 year old sun after school and bring him back home for sleeping. And every Friday, I take both of them and bring them back Saturday evening. Honestly one of the best coaches out there when it comes to break ups, and I’ve watched a lot of them. Not too heavy on the getting your ex back stuff , and not too heavy on the stay broken up with them because they dumped you side either. I'm in the same boat beth. My ex chose to ghost me for two months not even wanting to see me at all. She would very rarely message me or talk to me after our last vacation in July after her birthday. She broke my damn heart, I truly felt she was the woman I was gonna vow my life to, was even gonna take her to a beautiful place and get on my knee and propose to her, but here we are now. She got into a rebound not even a month after our breakup. Time will tell. Stay strong, I know it's hell, I was there in it, apart of me still is. Stay strong friend.
If you did nothing wrong ...he will remember you. Usually, they don't say anything because they know they did u wrong and thus are afraid of you rejecting them. Stick to the course. The rule of thumb is it takes half the time of the relationship for the heart to heal. God can heal you as early as he wants tho. Stay strong and trust God ✨

I’ve been about 2 and a half months of no contact and have been doing really well. Haven’t broken no contact at all and and working on improving myself and spending time with my friends and have been feeling great. I even felt like I was ready to move on. Then this weekend came and all of a sudden these emotions came flooding back to me and feel the need to reach out to my ex again. Yeah, she doesn't do any of these and it's painfully obvious that she has fallen out of love. It's only been a month and we've been in touch intermittently but honestly to lose the love of my life feels like a pain I've never experienced before.
Maybe if I die she'll come to see me again and love me for one last time. I only wish I could see that but I can't. I don't know how to make it through the night. My friend, I was in the same boat months ago. She clearly had been talking to this other person, behind your back, there is nothing wrong with you being angry, rage ridden, and depressed. That person broke your damn heart, drug you through the mud. That was being unfaithful and that was a rebound/side dude. Work on yourself, get stronger physically and mentally. Mine hurt me, made me a miserable pile of rage and hate. I know the pain, that was and the keyword is was, the woman I was going to propose to this year shortly, and here I am six months later after our breakup and her rebound... Stay strong, because you will become stronger and they will see and realize they were wrong.
You just need to get out of there my best advice is get multiple jobs or get new hobbies to keep you out the house it’ll help you clear your mind block her on all socials even her number better yet delete it from ur contacts

One week no contact . We broke up three weeks ago and the first two weeks we hung out on and off as I tried to convince her to get back. My story involves a complicated mix of cross-culturality, infertility and mental health. I hope you'll eventually post videos involving these issues.
In short: I'm an American living in eastern France. My boyfriend (a German) left me from one day to the next, last November after 6 years together (the last 2.5 of which we were trying to have a baby and were suffering from infertility on my side). He was suffering from anxiety attacks, due to his own depression, but also due to my own mental health issues (OCD). Our fertility treatments were finally getting more serious, and I think he was terrified about how my OCD would affect our children (as I hadn't yet sought treatment for it).
In February, after I returned to France with my mother after Christmas, he offered to take my mom and me to a city in Germany for a day trip. I knew this was his way of "testing the waters" after our breakup (especially with my mom around, to act as a "buffer").
After he brought us home, I received a long text from him, saying how emotional the day was for him and that seeing me and having a great day together brought memories and feelings back.
Since then, I've given him subtle opportunities to see my mom and me again before she goes back to the US, but he's either refused or hasn't responded. Later, I text him that needed to discuss some logistics with him by phone, and he said he was hesitant, because talking to me would be "ripping open wounds and confusing for him."
I know he still has feelings (he has said so himself), but it's like the day trip was so powerful, that he's terrified to see me anymore. It's like it had the opposite affect that it was supposed to...
how bout both go to confession for fornicating. this situation is the consequence of sin. you shouldn’t be trying to get pregnant when you aren’t married. for your children’s sake only have sex with someone you are married to so the child is raised by a mother and father. everyone is all wrapped up in their own feelings instead of having an objective view of reality. people feel depressed as though they are a victim of circumstances when in reality they are a victim of their own bad choices.

I’m just a stranger on the internet. I just feel for you, it sounds like a lot you are going through. I hope your heart heals. Either way as you seem to be aware I hope you get help for your mental health you deserve to feel better. It’s not easy as the recent stress of fertility issues. If you get back together make sure both of you separately and together have healed before bringing children on top of an already fragile relationship. Studies clearly show children are a stressor even on strong relationships. As heartbreaking as it is if your partner couldn’t handle the stress of infertility it is unlikely they can weather parenthood with you either. I’ve unfortunately seen this story many times, with and without children in the end. All th best
"Ripping open wounds and confusing for him" means he already sees this relationship as part of his past. You're pushing things and he feels uncomfortable with that. You don't need to be a Coach Lee to see this as obvious. Sorry if you find this too confronting but ultimately this is what will help you the most. He's not as serious as you about this relationship.
My ex girlfriend of six months just broke up with me 13 days ago. I found your videos the next day and they have been so helpful. My ex broke up due to personal trauma and felt she wasn't good for me. We both were in love and she even said in the last conversation together that our love was real and that she just isnt good for me. However, she has kept me on Facebook and whats weird is I'm still Facebook friends with her family. Her aunt is one Facebook friend and my ex saw her aunt the day after we broke up and still after many days of being broken up her aunt likes my posts. Told her thank you and take care too. After a day, I was left on READ and she deleted the I miss you message. After that, silence for 3 days and counting. I saw her watching my stories though.

I see my ex at work daily. We both said we loved eachother but things went south and we became two separate people as opposed to close and loving. I don’t understand why you’re sending it. A clean slate letter is usually to apologize for something you’ve done that’s really bad. If I were you, and I hope you’ll do this, I would just disappear without a word. Let her figure it out and wonder about it. That is the strongest thing you can do by far and gives you the best chance of her coming back.

Coach lee, my bf broke up with me today after a year together. He loves me and I mean the world to him still. I’ve just emotionally drained him with my own mental issues. I've been keeping up with the no contact rule for a bit of time now, it hasn't been very long since my breakup happened. But it already shows when she texts me she always asks what im doing, or If I have any plans for the day. I keep the detail very small, sometimes nothing at all when I respond. She has also been asking me if I would play games with her (because we played video games a lot when we we're together) I dont say no, I politely either tell her im a bit busy or we can later. Ontop of that yesterday's she had also called me for the first time since the breakup. The call was nothing serious it was just a few small questions about somethings. So I didn't think much of it, again i kept it casual and polite.

I went through a breakup almost 2 months ago I haven’t really followed no contact I made the breakup difficult, didn’t want to let go and have contact her 3x after that I may just be a nuisance at this point and she told me she had went on a date and kissed another guy I’m kind of lost on what to do I know no contact is the right move but idk why I can’t do it.
