heismay is the best cause he just spins and does flips for all of his openings/crits lol. also its kinda funny seeing him waddle with the greatswords and then letting gravity do its thing
12:20 How the heck did I not notice this????? If you look at the gunner design for every party member you see that the color of the eyes match the character's (Eupha's gunner has purple eyes, Hulkenberg's has cyan eyes, etc) wich is cool and all BUT if you look at protag's gunner it has light blue eyes not yellow and blue just like the prince. THE FREAKING GUNNER WAS FORSHADOWING FOR THE ENDGAME TWIST HOW DID I NOT NOTICE THIS??????
The way that each character has a unique melee style that they manage to adapt is such a great thing to add. The type of (not really small) details that help make the game a complete experience. Bas spinning everything around with 1 hand or kicking stuff, and Eupha constantly throwing her weapons is great. They so easily could have said “who tf is gonna run Eupha on Knight? We can just give her a generic swinging around animation”. It also matches with her finishing move against the Eht Ria human!
Its funny using a Healer to physically attack skeleton enemies that make big bloody sound effects when you smack them "The power of healing" *CRUNCH SPLAT SMASH*
It's pretty cool jumping from Persona characters limited to one weapon (except P3 on PS2) to having characters have their own unique animations for ALL weapon classes I will always love that old school Japanese Sword Slash sound effects they use in SMT games for slash sounds 🤤
Its so neat how they all have their little flourishes. Eupha doing a spinning dance when she uses a 1-hand sword is cute. Also, Heismay having to use the weight of his weapon to his advantage... adorable.
There is truly a lot of love and attention to detail with how everyone has their own way on how they attack with their weapons. My favorite is how nobody can dodge heismay's critical greatsword attack despite having such an obviously large window to dodge it Also i noticed among the mages, everyone wacks the enemy but Grius legit does some magic on his attacks instead
i love how the summoner class goes from using enemies from this game to using smt demons becoming just a big referance to their other games, masked dancer being a huge referance to persona 5 as well with its upgrade system
The most mage coded characters are the Mc, Junah, and Euphie... And the MC is more in the vibe of a typical magic knight while Junah is athletic the way dancers are. Euphie being so mage looking would make her an oddity until you recall that the first weapom we see her use is a huge lance. Honestly they did a good job making everyone feel physically capable... Even if they all have twig arms in their models.
@@vivisdoodledworld7232who says naamah or cleo can't wiggle their way in here as DLC (same for others like Lilith, Agrat, the fiends... Holy shit.. demi fiend as a secret boss....and the fiend archetype, which nulls everything??)
The critical animation of each class tells us exactly which character resonates with us the most. If they don't make it look good, they're probably not the right fit for that archetype.
@@vivisdoodledworld7232 I hope they add more cinematic skill in the sequel or dlc.And maybe change some existing skill, Royal Sword feel kinda meh, it should be more swift and clean.
I got a little disappointed with the second devil summoner cinematic, because its theurgy counterpart in episode aigis is one of the sickest techniques I've seen

The force of the crossbow from Gunner sending him flying is funny af.
MY AIM IS SURE
It makes sense for him to be able to take advantage of his stature considering his training
I actually didn't realize that each character had a different fighting style when using the same weapon. That's awesome!
Hulkenberg did not skip leg day 🦵
2:29 i love how casually basilio swings the greatsword above his head compared to everyone you can feel the difference in strength
Strohl was crazy with it on the masked dancer class 😭😭
Almost all other classes he feels a little gangly or just awkward, but masked dancer hits. Faker is decent, too, but damn.

Merchant in a nutshell: Beats up monsters with the power of math and money lmao

Other characters: *hardly rises a long sword*
Basilio: *spinning it like a molinet*
Strong boi
Eupha sure know how to box
8:47 she is really channeling Akihiko there
Yea, she really does a solid one-two ngl
These animations are well done. The way party memebers have different ways of using archetype weapons are great details.
Its so neat how they all have their little flourishes. Eupha doing a spinning dance when she uses a 1-hand sword is cute. Also, Heismay having to use the weight of his weapon to his advantage... adorable.
I like that Eupha sometimes magically throws her weapon while Basilio swings everything like his axe
@@wetotters4971 I also like how Basilio randomly kicks the shit out of them after stabbing.
I don’t know whether Heismay just spinning like crazy for Knight and Beserker takes it for me or the Warrior with the big sword windups.
The way Heismay goes in while saying "BY BODY AND MIND!" is peak
Heismay literally just lets gravity do his work when using warrior or berserker..
His itty bitty paws can barely hang on
Grius : *uses each weapon properly*
The rest : *fck it, lets smack those humans with it*
thank you, I've had the idea to look into all the animations myself but was too lazy to do so , thank you so much
ikr XD warrior heismay easily my favorite

Basilio out here doing Fire Emblem crits with some of these.

Eupha using magic to throw her lance is a nice touch, especially when you consider she can use Drakodios like that.
"the enemy weak to piercing!"
Hulkenberg: *pole dancing.*
Eupha is quite the acrobat! Those backflips are killer.
Eupha goes so crazy for no reason lmao
For someone who's priestess/mage coded, eupha sure is pretty athletic 😂

Damn, you're right. It's a cool skill, too :(

How do you do the dash at the beginning?
Lock on to an enemy before attacking and you'll dash toward them, if you're a gunner you'll shoot them from long range instead
