Actually its reverse a c trumpet tuning slide is longer, with the slide extending just slightly past the main tuning slide. The B Flat reaches to the Bruce.
I realize they all sound like trumpets because they are trumpet hahaha, I never meant to say that one is a trumpet and another not, I realize that there are differences there, I play the trumpet myself and a bunch of other instruments. But if you listen close enough it sounds like a Bb, and yes there are trumpet designed to transpose the C to a different pitch. however some of the more common ones are Eb and F trumpets rather than C. I actually quite like the Bb piccolo trumpet though :P
