Oh I am sad I missed this, I was asleep as in UK. So I will journal along with you now I am awake and have Sunday to decorate my journal for the next week. I don’t have any of the social media platforms you mentioned, maybe I will have to wake up my Insta account again. I am currently journaling about the books I want to read in 2021. Hugs from England ( socially distanced of course 😀 )
There will be more (and at other times!) so hopefully you can make another one. ❤️ journaling about the books you want to read is a great idea!
I must add though that it was still great to journal with everyone afterwards listening to it on my own. Still great company :) x
I'm a peculiar princess who was assigned to create a positivity journal by my therapist. My base is a composition notebook and she assigned three topics - scripture, because she knew my faith was important to me, positive quotes and good memories. Other than that, I could add in what I liked that was positive. In 2019, I mostly used stickers, packaging, cards, calendar cut-outs, etc to decorate it and then last year, 2020, I joined Marsha Baker's 365 Day Doodle Challenge and used 1 1/2" squares of daily doodles to decorate the pages. It felt so good to complete the challenge! I have a playlist of videos showing each month's work for my girlfriend support team to see what I've done for the month. The first journal's format was weekly planner style, the 2nd was bullet journal style. I'm not sure what format I will be using this year. My journals have gotten chunky too and I use a skinny hairband to keep it closed. Have you used a water (aqua) brush pen with your watercolors? I like a water brush because it controls the amount of water that flows down into the hairs of the brush from its reservoir. You can squeeze a drop or two into the paint pan to get the paint moistened. I like watercolor crayons myself and just brush the water pen across the crayons to pick up color. Happy journaling 2021!

I ordered the Moleskin journals like yours. Supposed to be here tomorrow. In the meantime I have been writing little tidbits daily to get in the habit and will just use washi tape to put them in the journal once I have it in hand. 😃

This is amazing, I'm starting a creative journal this year! I just have a quick newbie question - how do you decide how much space to leave for your journalling?
Thank you! I usually just have a sense of how much space I will want to use based on how much I did that day and topics I want to cover. Sometimes I’m a little off though and my handwriting starts getting really crammed or I end the journaling earlier than I would have if I was in a notebook where I could just flip to the next page and keep writing. For the most part though, it works out for me ☺️
