So cool! I want to listen to more of his music but just by listening to this one I think I may have discovered a new favourite singer! Thanks so much for the reaction 😊
his first album was straight up ballad and this one is more diverse which he intentionally did! it would be so awesome to hear a listen through for dice! it literally has no skips! his vocals really snap in the other songs like....dice is the gateway to the rest of heaven...
This is such a fun video and a new side/sound of Onew that I REALLY like. I absolutely love Onew's voice, but don't always mesh with the much slower pace of his previous album. However, this one is a keeper, and I adore this new sound from him creating an album I will definitely buy. Makes me wonder if he had a lot more creative input than his first album in 2018 because it always seems like when SM let's go and allows the members to take control of their music, the result is always so much more enticing, fresh, and fun. I also found it cute that Onew kept the album title trend alive that was created with Taemin's first album, "Ace" and then Jonghyun saying he "plagerized" Taemin's album title by rhyming his first album title by using "Base". Then Key jumped on the bandwagon wwith "Face" and Onew with "Voice" and now "Dice". In addition, as another SHAWOL stated, the colors are reminiscent of Jonghyun's "She is" and "Shinin", and also reminds me of a planet Key would discover on his "Bad Love" space explorations! As I mentioned above, Onew's first album is titled, "Voice" with the title track of "Blue" and an MV you can check out. Another recent MV and live performance is his song, "Way", a duet with the artist Punch. It is really beautiful and the vocals are top tier. There is also a live performance of "Rainy Blue", which is a really nice song that Onew covered beautifully after having gone through polyp surgery for his vocal cords. After the surgery he had to remain silent for 3 months to heal, and there was no guarantee that he would be able to sing again. It was a very scary time for him. He said he had to completely retrain his voice after those 3 months. The original artist for "Rainy Blue" had the same surgery as Onew and never regained his voice. That performance was a defining for Onew as he was unsure his vocals would be able to last for the entire concert (as you may know, SHINee's concerts can last anywhere from 3-3.5 hours). However, when he performed that ballad, you can see the result of his hard work and the relief and thankfulness he felt in that instant: ruclips.net/video/TmuC_gxum5Y/видео.html Onew also was on the show "Sea of Hope" this last year where he performed duets, solos, and other songs with various artists. You can find clips of full performances of those songs on YT. Thanks for the reaction.
Jonghyun also has a lot of really great solo music you should check out, please don't leave him out when you refer to "all the members". But it's understandable because it looks like you haven't seen anything with him in it yet, I hope that changes soon because he's an incredible singer, artist, and poet! I highly recommend She Is, Shinin', Déjà-Boo, and End of a Day but my favorite music from him are the b-sides on his self composed Story Op albums. He received stories from listeners of his radio show Blue Night and wrote a lot of songs based on them and on his own experiences that they reminded him of, which he released on the show first and then put into collection albums! He passed away in 2017 but the SHINee members always make it a point to remind everyone they will always be a 5 member group because he's a part of them, us, and his influence shows in most everything they do. For SHINee I could suggest any of their title tracks but my favorites are Married to the Music, View (there's some references to these two in Dice), Replay, Dream Girl, Everybody, and Sherlock! View's lyrics were written by Jonghyun after he had a conversation on Blue Night with a fan who has synesthesia, a condition with many variations where senses get mixed up or combined, part of hers was seeing colors and textures when hearing music or peoples' voices. The View mv doesn't have lyrics on it but you should definitely check out the color coded lyric video either in the reaction or on your own time ^^ Something you'll also find about SHINee is that their live concert performances outshine the studio versions practically every time, to the point where I have to listen to the concert live albums because I miss the extra bridges, the adlibs, and the remixes! Some classics and frequently reacted to examples of this are Excuse Me Miss, Like a Fire, Stranger, Sherlock, and Everybody. Some of their older classic songs have quite a bit of autotune because they're from around 2010, like Lucifer and especially Ring Ding Dong, I love the originals but in the live performance where they do both songs together and you can really hear their vocal skills. It's a lot to get into, they've been around for 14 years, but it's so so worth it to dig into their discography. But as for Onew and Dice, I'M OBSESSED WITH EVERYTHING ABOUT IT!! Thanks for your reaction! It's so campy and fun and I adore his voice so much. For more from him I suggest his latest song before this which is called Way ft Punch, when you search it it'll say Lyric Video, but it's a gorgeously animated music video and a beautiful and uplifting song! I always recommend it before Blue now because Blue is really heavy and emotional in both the song and mv.
🇵🇹hi Tony....as we said in Portugal, Onew is like Port wine....older, better.....this album is so amazing....the title track as such a happy good vibe but I already fell in love with Live phobia and yeowoobi...SHINee leader is back 🤟
For more solo onew id suggest his first solo album VOICE and check out the title track Blue mv. Voice is more ballad heavy compared to Dice so you really get broader feeling of his solo music. Id also suggest Way feat punch which was released last year or any of his covers on the show sea of hope.
Both of them rolling the dice, fun mv! Why do I see this as a fairy tale pun, the princess saving the prince at the end😆😆😆 Am just starting with some of jonghyun's, am not sure if you've did an album listen from his
The reason for the 6 with the underline is to not mistake the number with a 9. Even if we know this dice has only 6 faces, our brain works with what it sees. So without the underline, if the 6 was upside down, our brain would see a 9.
