Yep, The golden years. The times of sitting in the stands in the early 90's at supercross at Charlotte NC watching Jeremy McGrath come riding out in drivable big shark vehicle & the side door come open & he walk out onto the dirt & they bring him his 2 cycle & he kicks it off & takes a lap around the track doing the superman & backflips to start the show. Then hearing the sweet sound of all them 2 cycles take off when the gates dropped. Man the good times.
Never gets old hearing that sound ripping through the woods love it. I remember growing up we had a quarries in our woods nothing but trails and jumps and tracks loved hearing the sounds of the dirt bikes in the quads up there coming home from school and echoing out of the woods into the neighborhood. Made me run home jump on my 250 and go join the fun .
What an absolute pleasure to watch and listen to this KX250, awesome sound and great riding, pure adrenaline! I could listen to this all day and I can taste that 2 stroke smoke from here 😋
Love it ! Bought a 1999 KTM 380 new. Rode it for 20 years, in situations just like this. Raced 100 mile races and trail trails with friends. Best times ever. Arther and Idis beat me up, nothing to do with riding, but I can't hang on no more, but I am happy for those that can. Enjoy !

Im building my Big Bore 2 stroke engine for my next 1/5 baja build right now its soo epic Rcmax supreme 55cc 2 stroke in a rc car its nuts! Look it up on youtube youll see the engine cost me $1900 usd alone!
Well it's kinda hard on the 4 strokes when there not to reliable to kick starting easy like the 2 cycles. I believe in kickstarting also but 4 strokes will kick you to death 😂. I just rather push start my 4 stroke.

Just do it bud. I rode my first Motocross a 125 ccm at 28 years old. Then a KX250 which I rented in Thailand at 33 years old (be careful risiky in asian traffic). Then again at 42 years old I rented a 250 ccm on a track in Spain. Now I am 45 years old an possible buying my first Dirt bike :) I was also a passive gamer type kid, but grown to become more of a outdoor person. Lived in an apartment all my life, but now have a house.
I love my 2002 kx250 so much. And hearing this one rip just makes me want to go ride! By the way the boyesen rad valve makes the motor so wicked responsive much better than v-force. Favorite mod ive done by far. It made it to where i can chug ridiculously lower than before smoothed out the mid pull and seriously crisped up the top end. Cant wait to put on a heavy flywheel weight and hydraulic clutch lever. Anyways rant done. Kawi 2t for life!

Ha cracks me up at how amazed ppl are at 2 strokes these days 20 years ago it was about 95% of all we rode off road then. I had one 250f 15 years ago and 150f for my son. Never cared for them and the engine and tranny issues I had with them. Glad the 2 strokes have been making a comeback

@Wicky Las no not all two strokes sound this. Carb jetting and pre-mix ratios are critical. This bike is crisp and jetting spot on.

Mine Since the 1991 Kawasaki KX125 came out.
Such a refreshing sight to see a bike kick-started as supposed to these new bikes and all the wimps complaining if they don't have electric start.

Love the reliability of a kickstart. My ktm exc battery likes to die randomly on rides so the kick start is a life saver
