      There's been a lot of 'false hope' from Bears fans for years. Believe me, In know. I think it's safe to say ON PAPER this is the best Bears team for at least 18 years. Doesn't mean anything if it doesn't translate to the field.

  • @KellenMaicher
    @KellenMaicher 21 день назад +14

    Why is everyone claiming the offensive line is solid? Jenkins is injury prone, Jones gets manhandled by the bull rush, center is a question mark, and who the hell knows what Nate Davis is (other than a huge disappointment who hasn’t been worth a fraction of what he was paid.) Green Bay MANHANDLED this o-line the last game they played…
    In what world is this “solid?”

    • @KellenMaicher
      @KellenMaicher 20 дней назад +1

      @@jamesdaniel7260 I think there's some truth to that but I don't have much faith in PFF positional rankings. They ranked our secondary as 19th in the league, which seems way off to me. As for the o-line, they looked absolutely ATROCIOUS in the last game of the year against the Pack. They didn't pass the eyeball test for me on that one...and in that game Fields wasn't responsible for everything that happened.
      But yes, Justin WAS responsible for holding onto the ball too long and taking way too many sacks. Problem is, that was the same knock on Williams in college. Let's hope that was just due to him having a terrible team around him and forcing himself to play "hero ball" too often.
      Too many people think like fantasy football managers these days and just focus on the skill positions. The game is still won and lost through the trenches and I think we are overestimating our talent in that regard on BOTH sides of the ball. I think we're also overestimating our defense in general because as solid as they played in the second half of the season, they did it against a LOT of pud teams.
      Hope I'm wrong on all these counts and come-out as world-beaters... but I've been watching this team for way too long to buy into the same preseason hype again...

    David Haugh thinks Bears fans are stupid. Haugh and his cohorts creates this myth that Bears fans are desperate. Just 6 years ago Bears were 12-4. Media smeared Nagy and Trubisky out of town. Pace gets Fields, Fields got nothing. BTW. Worst Bears team was in 1969. Bears won just one game out of 14. Haugh is grifting. Same as Kaplan.

    With the WR's the Bears have, the pressure on Caleb to feed them is going to be big. He's going to get flushed out of the pocket a lot, and he's going to make wild throws, and he is going to end up with over 20 INTs on the season.

    My opinion is biased as a Lions fan. That being said, I think Bears have most of the ingredients they need to threaten the division, but it is much more likely that the Lions and Packers will get there, since they both proved they were able to get to the postseason and threaten the best team in the NFC at the time (49ers). I think the Vikings are further away than the other three, but they have a really high ceiling too and could content over the next several years.

    We may end up playing in the championship game or the Super Bowl because of three factors I believe. One our defense is all world and I think going to be top three and this is before signing another defensive end to pair with Montez Sweat. Two Caleb Williams and the improvements made on offense. We may be dangerous enough to score at will if everyone is healthy and firing on all cylinders. And last number three our new punter Tori Taylor is an absolute mad lad savage. He is like in his prime Tiger Woods the way he can directionally punt the ball and he will regularly pin teams inside the five and allow our defense to pin their ears back and go destroy quarterbacks . All you want, but we are going to be a very very very dangerous team come, December.
