Let's assume that the Universe is a Gram number times larger than the observable Universe. That is it, a finite Universe technically indistinguishable from an infinite one at all. So large that we would have an uncountable number of exact copies of ourselves there and all of the other paradoxes of an infinite Universe to a large degree. So, why does it even matter whether it is infinite or not? What matters is whether we can evaluate the size or not.
I think it's arrogant to think there will ever come a time in humanity's history where we know everything. Infinity could totally be a concept in more than one viewpoint. Of course in an infinite universe there would be a time in humanity's history, whatever definitions we put to what humanity is, where we know everything. So crisis averted it's ok to think that. Be prideful! One of you is.

Fractals exist in nature. Isn’t that a bit of evidence of the possibility of infinity existing in our physical universe?
