    My high school math teacher told me I would make a great drag queen because I didn’t have a visible Adam’s apple 🤣

    I’m a CIS woman and I have a semi-noticeable Adam’s apple! It’s not super obvious, but if you really looked at my neck you could definitely see it. I used to be so self-conscious of it until I realized there were bigger things to worry about in life.

    Also some peoples are high or low. A low adams apple is usually one you can see. Also having a very low fat percentage in the neck can make a difference

    I’m trans femme, but I’ve never had a prominent Adam’s Apple. It’s just not how my neck is arranged. Thank you for speaking out against transphobia.

    I know several cis men who don’t have a visible Adam’s apple, and I as an AFAB non-binary person have a very noticeable Addam’s apple. It has nothing to do with the sex you were assigned at birth it actually has everything to do with the anatomy of your neck, while yes hormones can play a role in how deep your voice gets because of the thickening of the vocal folds (tied to testosterone)
    On another note why is it called the Addams apple of it was eve who ate it, shouldn’t it be the eves apple then?

    I had a visble Adam's apple even before taking testosterone and I know cis men who don't. Biology is not a simple as 7th grade science class

      Sure, but that doesn’t make them the smoking gun some people treat them as. My sister has an Adam’s apple comparable to most men and she’s 100% born a woman, identifies as a woman. It’s the exception, but when the exception is real people who get bullied for it, that exception still matters.

    • @gordshorde
      @gordshorde 8 месяцев назад +2

      *some
      they can be prominent in women and don't always seem visible in men.
      universal rules like that don't work and end up hurting non trans people too.

      lmao someone thinks we check chromosomes 💀
      theres a lot more then just xx and xy, and lemme ask: when was the last time you checked your chromosomes huh? can you for sure say you have either of those or are you just guessing based on assigned gender (which may not correlate with chromosomes)

    • @SylviaRustyFae
      @SylviaRustyFae 6 месяцев назад +1

      Per your transphobic logic; im a man and a woman bcuz i have both those sets of chromosomes.

    It is considered a secondary male sex characteristic after puberty. It protects the larynx (voice box) as it enlarges due to testosterone in males. While it can show up in women…it’s not common.

    • @kd8663
      @kd8663 9 месяцев назад +4

      And yet it is not a reason to assume someone is male, like some people treat it as.

    • @gordshorde
      @gordshorde 8 месяцев назад

      it doesn't always show up in men either, in fact i've rarely seen a prominent adams apple. does that mean anyone who doesn't have one is a women? no! so why use it as a reason for someone to not be a man?

  • @MattyV3

    That hoodie is disgusting. No child willingly decides to change his or her gender. Its the parents who decide it for their kids which leads to situations of regret and hate for the child in the future. Kids who say they're this and that are just saying stuff to say stuff. I wanted to change my name to fucking sharkboy for Christ sake. That would obviously not be a good decision, but deciding to change your kids gender because they say shit to say shit is an even worse decision. Leave our future generation alone. Also no, you cant magically change your gender

    • @melvinthebravefish9788
      @melvinthebravefish9788 9 месяцев назад +17

      I'm not surprised you don't see children as sentient human beings, but I am disappointed

    • @courtneybockstahler5727
      @courtneybockstahler5727 9 месяцев назад +2

      When I was a kid, I wanted to get a boob job and plastic surgery to change my face. I wanted to be covered in tattoos like the 'playboy bunny' and Japanese characters.
      Now that I'm older, I want none of those things. I didn't know what I actually wanted/needed. I think we rush children when it comes to growing up, let kids be kids for humanity's sake. We need to protect our youth, they are our future.
