I am a retired Airline Captain with a 55 F-35 and I watched the video of your Garmin upgrade, now I want to do the same thing with my Bonanza! And I too want to keep the Vintage look! I just got the authorization from the Chief Financial Officer, (my Wife!) so I’m looking forward to having the same fun you’re having! I really enjoy your Videos, so keep them coming!
“It’s got the wrong type of tail in the back, you’re supposed to have a V back there”…21Charlie for the win! OK OK, the A36 does have SmartGlide. We’ll call it a tie.😊 Thanks for taking me along!
Stevie, somehow I missed the "Fly to work with me" video. Went from that one to this one. Man, what a difference that panel makes. It's awesome. Sometimes less is better and I would say when it comes to Bonanza, your classic takes the cake. Congrats and thanks for taking us along for the ride.
Nice Stevie. I agree with what you did to your bonanza. I have a 1947 straight 35. I went with Aspen 1000 and an Avidyne IFD550. Kept my engine/fuel cluster, but have round EI engine and fuel monitor. Kept all the piano keys and my antique Brittain B4 autopilot. Have hydraulic prop and E225-8 engine. Great to watch your adventures. Dave, 40 year airline, 54 years of flying.
Well Garmin with Stevie you have a great pilot for an ambassador. Obviously very knowledgeable and easy on the eyes with a great personality. You go Stevie
Stevie did such an amazing job envisioning what she wanted and how it should look. For being such a young pilot, with so many hours, a vintage aircraft that has been “sponsor upgraded” or not, she took a chance on a classic and made it gorgeously hers. The cherry on top is the dimples. #fanboy
Now that was a fun video, comparing the two approaches to updating avionics. Love what Stevie has done with her Bonanza keeping the "vintage" feel, being "vintage" myself. But then again Jessica's Bonanza works for me, but then it does come down to what works for the individual pilot
Both panels are equally impressive, it's just a matter of preference. Love the SmartGlide feature, but, I personally love 21C's vintage look. Another great job in producing and editing the video Stevie!!!
Stevie and Garmin Team....Very impressive and very inspirational for us owners of Vintage Bonanzas!! Can't wait for you to approve our B35 for the GFC 500 to go along with recently installed GNX 375, dual G5's...and waiting for EIS 275.
Lovely aeroplanes and upgrades, I love the air con/ice cooler in the C35 - everyday is a school day. Stunning aeroplane a favourite of mine since childhood with that V tail💜✌️ My preference though? Sorry😇.....the later A36 type (tail parts are easier to maintain, source and repair, plus the performance vs cost is in Mooney territory for performance, according to some, but for less money), three bladed prop, and I'm a sucker for wing tip tanks, but I'd prefer the refitted, retro type panel with round instruments (as in the C35) gorgeous! I can see how well the A36 panel works, the safety features are superb, but the C35 just looks more aesthetically pleasing to my eye. Thanks for sharing, really interesting video - lucky ladies being able to fly those two aeroplanes 👍😊💜✌️
Always love your videos ever since I discovered you on RUclips, what drew to you right away is your confidence and your bubbly personality. Enjoy Oshkosh 2023
The A36 has a lot of wonderful features, and is obviously a much more modern airplane, HOWEVER, it's not a V-tail, and I love 21C :). Missing flying in N830T (1973 V35B) when I was a kid.
I’ve been flying and instructing in a Latitude with Garmin 5000 since Jan 2016. The Garmin 5000 rocks and is designed as single pilot ops, so it reduces the workload. Add the autothrottles into the fold and it’s great. I’d could go on and on, but I won’t.
Only in general aviation: "I brought a 70+ yr old airplane with $100k in avionics upgrades." That '21Charlie' panel is gorgeous but man aviation costs are staggering.
I love Garmin stuff. Not a pilot so the most expensive Garmin thing I have is an Overlander GPS lol. Have an older Fenix 2 ( I think) and an Instinct Tactical watches. I also use an old ( think I have had it since 2004 ) eTrex Legend and a eTrex 32x. Would love to have a GPSMap handheld one day. Also use Garmin Dashcams and had a dog collar for Law Enforcement K9 work. I love Garmin stuff. Can be pricy, but it hasn’t failed me. I have had at least 6 different type of vehicle GPS systems over the years.
For the past few weeks , I've been installing a GDU470 into an A36 which already has a GDU460 , also added a GDL50R, GSB15, yaw damp servo and CoDetector . Not a bad instal considering, pilot and copilot panels easily removable which makes for one very spoilt avionics tech....BUT...I've got to say, that pivoting yoke arm assembly can be a downright pain in the arse
Would u go on a blind flight. I haven’t been flying since I flew over my brotherbrother I was searching for him. In a corn field in 2004 Clayton county.
Hi Stevie, Thanks for the great video. I noticed you stated you are a commercial pilot. Does that mean you are no longer in the software job you went to California for? Just curious if your love of flying provided a different path in life that is much more gratifying. Thanks again.
Tell me how having a commercial certificate prevents one from working as a software engineer? She instructed while in college. Guess what? You have to have a commercial certificate to receive instructor rating.
With you here. Anything over 380 and I start making changes. At 400 degrees the barrels have lost roughly half they're tensile strength and 50 degree rich of peak is peak cylinder pressure bad combo. All the new information is very eye opening and definitely changes the way you manage the airplane.
Girls graduations that explain 2 planes each years and your girlfriend's playing thinking about the panel and the radars and how you get call stay in touch with. The tower grazer guys are experienced and I enjoy it listen to you. Graduation❤

I would expect that the rules applying to aviation components would dictate higher quality control for their aviation products. I am wondering though if the FAA might be a little less stringent for GA applications than the equivalent organisations in other Western societies?
it looks nice no doubt about that. however, invesing $60~80k on a plane that is only $60~80k is a rational decision? I am not trying to criticize. I am seriously thinking about doing the same myself. So I wonder what others think about this.

Love anything with Stevie in it. Great job.

The v tail is what a Bonanza really is. 21C is my favorite easily.

Stevie, you knocked another one out of the park! All the best from TX

Vintage feel and look for me always wins. I love that even with the 21C upgrade, it feels like it fits with the original panel design
More of these kind of quality videos thanks Garmin 🧑✈👍
Hi Stevie, another awesome video, every time I see the panel I'm amazed! great job girl!!!! :)

Top notch ladies! My buddy and I are going to come out and say "Hello" and check your Garmin rebuild and setup. Be safe flying.
Props to Garmin for sponsoring Stevie. She’s a perfect ambassador for your brand and GA.
Awesome head to head. Modern is nice, but vintage is way cooler
Another great informative video Stevie. Garmin just keeps getting better. Love how you set up your panel. Thanks to you and Jessica.

Love the updated avionics. at 3:45 that's Clinton Lake and my hometown!!
My uncle had a runway just above the wingtip of the plane years ago!
@@bradelder7461 before the reservoir?

Why did I recognize this immediately?! Lawrence is so recognizable from the air.
I love all my Garmin stuff but the most impressive thing in this video are Stevie's dimples.

I love the classic panel retention of 21C but the winner is anyone who does a Garmin upgrade regardless of their choice. Nice!
Excellent work Garmin and team
Not a pilot. But I can see the allure of both setups. It would be nice to get a mix of the two, as I really like the look of Stevie’s panel.
Great video. And don’t forget to look outside for the rest of us.
Top! Grande video! Obrigada colega! :))))
❤ Stevie & Jess!!!
Any roadmap to allow the GNX 375 to drive the Smart Glide feature?
21Charlie!!! About time you load a video. 😊 missed you

Smartglide!?!? That is incredible, wow.
Yeah Stevie !
Looks like the MP gauge needs a “snubber”. Love that you didn’t chop the panel in the C35.

It's advertising. Of course it will feel forced ... unless very good actors are involved.
