This is awesome because of how incredibly well it was made, but also so sad and eye opening for a moment. This world has been in war longer than it has been in peace

AMAZING. When I saw that "Powstanie Listopadowe" is writed in Polish, I falled in love I love history, I love hetalia, and I love Poland, so I love this video too It's really well made, everything is... i don't know, just... Just.. Ok, I have to tell, that I cried, and I'm crying now too. In the part when it was about my country the most. That feelings....
+SaviChan Aru How it was... "Polish man can" (Polak potrafi). Is sth on the world, that Pole can't do? I think not. Hetalia create my country (I'm Pole) as a man who is laughing about everything and don't get anything serious. Ok, I know, it's comedy. But it's really good to see videos like that - videos that shows our bloody history. When you look at it from this point of view, history of Europe is one of the bloodiest (I write it good?). Going back to your words - at the beginning I was surprised too. But Poland is the "Phoenix of Europe" not without reason. Still unbelievable? Uwielbiam ciemną stronę Hetalii, jest taka prawdziwa... I okrutna :c
+Ookaminoishi Yeah we are not the Phoenix of Poland for nothing. Though I think Poland's personification might just be hiding his feelings so well that no one sees the pain and betrayal he really feels. He has not ever shown anyone his real feelings not even Liet, he is scared that that someone will use it as a weakness and succeed in wiping him off the map forever.
What a great interpretation of Poland. He reminds me of the Doctor from Doctor Who--seemingly silly on the outside, holding in centuries' worth pains and hurts on the inside.
3 days though...720 men with 50 guns stood their ground against 42 thousand with tanks and aerial support. If that isn't amazing bravery, I don't know what it is. It's kinda sad that most of the people I know don't care about Poland... Also, It would be cool to see some mentions of Mexico or Latin America in these vids. There have been a lot of important historical events down here too. Mexico´s independence and Revolution, 20th century dictators, Tlatelolco Massacre, Case Ayotzinapa, Cuban Revolution...it would be cool to see an Historical Hetalia vid focused on the American continent.
In Mexico alone there were many civil wars and the incident with Napoleon the 3rd creating the 2nd Mexican empire, then when you get to Central America and most people don’t know they were one republic, and the dozens of other countries had their own unique wars and conflicts many involving popular characters like France and England and the hate-love relation between the u.s and Mexico
galaxy hitchhiker72 No one care about Poland, maybe without Hungary, they are our ¼ "blood" brothers (In 1956, when protests broke out in Hungary and a lot of people were injured at that time, the Poles though they were not in a better situation, they gathered the most important things for them at the moment [bandages, medicines, food, money] and donated blood at medical facilities to send it's all to Hungarians), but Poland care about everyone and try to help with it, which they can help

It's amazing that this powerful, serious, heartbreaking interpretation of Hetalia surfaced. Sometimes there needs to be a darker side to lovable characters. It's even more enthralling with Hetalia since it is about history - the reality of our world.
I have always loved history... But when I was in high school, I discovered Hetalia. Now, I'm a creative writing and history double major, and aiming to get a PHD in history. I want to teach history to people and show them how interesting and important it is. Even the very worst of it. If that means that I have to use Hetalia to get people into it, so be it. But I want to aim for people to be interested in reality without having to resort to fiction, if at all possible. Not that Hetalia is bad, but there are real people, who are not fake, that fought and died for their country or against their own country. Sometimes their stories are very moving, or extremely twisted or sad, and sometimes I feel that in this fandom, "real" history can be overshadowed by the fictional characters. Sometimes, not all the time. I guess I'm just venting... It's kind of a pet peeve of mine.
(( I know this comment is 2 months old so this is really a very late reply, but I just have to say something. Mainly: ^ THIS. THIS is the attitude that most, if not all, Hetalia fans should have. In fact, not just Hetalia fans but everyone everywhere should have some degree of this sort of historical knowledge. History shapes us, defines us, and there are so many sides to it that we can spend lifetimes looking at all of them. Hetalia is a comedy show but I have to say, I prefer the serious, darker interpretations of it much much more. I do agree with you that it should be best to get people interested in history without the use of fiction, however. No matter how much we adore these fictional characters, it is better to be aware that they still represent real people who died and suffered and triumphed in these wars.
[[I agree with all of you. As much as I love the show, and as much as I find history fascinating, it's important to keep the two separate. Sometimes people forget that these characters actually represent real countries, real places and most of all real people, that could possibly take offence at the way they are portrayed. I don't really mind the way my country's character is shown, and you may not either, but somebody may do, and probably will. I think that to crossover an animated show into real history and real events *in a disrespectful or unnecessary manner* is disgusting, and makes me disappointed in my 'fandom'. I am not saying history should be ignored, I am not saying you should not get into history because of Hetalia. But what I _am_ asking is that people treat each other and each other's history and culture with the respect they deserve. It is true Hetalia is a comedy, albeit a mildly educational one, but that doesn't give you an excuse to treat world history as a joke. I'll be the first to admit I didn't know about any of the micronations portrayed in Hetalia, and I have since become a Lady of Sealand. However, I do not spam the Sealand member forums with Hetalia, nor do I force it on to anyone else, in the real world or otherwise. Because history is very important, it is what teaches us, and educates us and makes us who we are today. So, at least sometimes, please take a step back from your 'hot yaoiz' and 'OTPs' to remember that these animated 'things' are real people you talking about, that may disagree with your opinions or Hetalia's representations. Take a moment to recognize the real, _true_ stories from these places you love so much - you will feel better for it. TL;DR: Hetalia and history are separate things. Please, please don't treat real issues as a joke. And on the other hand, don't take Hetalia too seriously. It _is_ a comedy, after all! But things are stereotyped, do not bring your anime fantasies into the real world. People may not, and probably won't, like it. Thank you for your respect, I hope this opened your eyes a bit. Also, shout-out to the creator of this video. It is very nice!]]
Hetalia makes is way easier for me to oversee everything and it makes me feel closer to the countries involved. I know millions of people died, but those are just numbers and it makes me feel more distanced. And yes, I could look it up and see who they were and how heroic and innocent they were, but you're not going to do that if you're not interested.
Merel Ha that's true. I'm not into history and the people who have died in history don't mean anything to me, but that doesn't mean I disrespect them. I understand their contributions are important and should NEVER be taken lightly, but now it's all in the past. Hetalia got me slightly interested in history but it's still not my thing - I just can't pay attention in history class it's so dull imo. Though thanks to Hetalia I've gotten better grades. But Hetalia DID get me thinking of the world outside my country, Canada. (He wasn't in this awesome video :( but it's ok) and it makes me feel closer to my country and got me slightly interested in world affairs. (But it's still not my thing) and it made me start contributing to real things instead of watching tv 24/7. But I definitely know reality and Hetalia are separate.
It's been so many years since this fandom started and yet I keep coming back. It's because of things like this, that go beyond the events of the series itself. Historical Hetalia conveys so much emotion. Thanks for making this.

Jestem Polką i jestem dumna ze swojego państwa. Nawet nie wiesz, jak wielką radość sprawiło mi to, że pod nazwami wydarzeń historycznych napisanych po angielsku pojawiły się polskie tłumaczenia :').
oh my gosh! that was totally awesome!! LOVE IT especially the music, it's from Two Steps from Hell, right? love that group! All of you who made the video possible have my respects!
That video is very good but i would like it to be done more chronologicaly and maybe focused on a certain topic but maybe it was in purpose to make it a suprise
Prussia's blue jacket at 1:55 is the exact color of this song is swear... how did you guys find fan art of him with that color? *drools and faints* Thank you from somebody with chromestesia!
the fourth part reminded me of a war between america and Japan where thousands of Japanese soldiers and civilians committed suicide instead of surrendering or being captured
I know this would sound weird to asked but didn't HRE rule ended about the time the US civil war broke out or I got the year's mixed up? Another thing I know people keep "blaming" the US for the Vietnam War but if you ACTUALLY look into it France started the war with the IndioChina countries in the late 50's to early 60's wanted independence from the French Government and didn't want to lose its "colonizers" like how Britain lost theirs during and after WW2
Great video! But I have a small question... What does the '1947' during the Cold War part stand for? Is it referring to the Truman Doctrine and Marshall Plan? Or is it referring to Cominform?
Literally don't get me started on Canadian contributions to the WWI OR II. I am both a patriotic little maple leaf and a huge history buff. Like, I'm literally resisting the urge to write a fucking essay about Canadian war contributions here so I think I'll stop now.
let me tell you something about canada first of all i agree wirh you thats why im telling you this it was canada that liberated my home town bruges ( belgium) and in honour of them we build a bridge with two strong buffels on it and its called the canada brigde or buffel bridge you should look it up its verry proud looking ;-)
When you think about it, a lot of the stuff happening in the 20th century was only 17 years ago and it's been 75 years since Pearl Harbour. Holy Rome was dissolved in 1806. Napoleon died in about 1722 or 1822 (can't remember which year. It was a while ago I learned about that.) World War 2 and the depression was only about 80 or so years ago. When you think about it, all this stuff happens and no one realizes it was that long ago.
historical hetalia is my favorite part of the fandom. It's so epic and cool, but also bloody and sad. It's the perfect combo!
If you look at Poland in the actual show he's all like laughing and happy than you look at polish history and it's really sad and makes you wanna cry
Rainy Liu You're right... I'm form Poland and polish history is sad indeed ._. And... I like Feliks but he's not like an accurate personification of Poland.

Love how the Hetalia fandom is so epic when the show itself is about a bunch of countries fooling around
... And I was told Hetalia was a happy anime
Hetalia is (mostly). FANDOM isn't ;)
+Ookaminoishi because actual Hetalia is cute while fandom is all about bloody war
hetalia kinda is (though it has some actual serious parts).

I ja też :)
Zdecydowanie jestem z wami!
Czuję to samo ❤️
Czuję dokładnie to samo!
My goodness, this is one of the best historical MEP's I've ever seen! I was wondering which MEP somaticjester had contributed to!
Great job guys! There needs to be more historical Hetalia videos like this one!
Beautiful!!!!! Are you from Poland? :D
PsychE Bardzo dobre pytanie.
this video is awesome!!
This is a good way for me to learn history.
It’s so cool, I love it! *^*
Whoa.
Whoa.
whOOAAAAAAA.
oh my gosh! that was totally awesome!! LOVE IT especially the music, it's from Two Steps from Hell, right? love that group!
All of you who made the video possible have my respects!
Marvelous job everyone!! > u
this was 10000% pure awesomeness
and the year ´48 is somehow cursed amiright or amiright
Oh my god, that was moving! ;A;
That video is very good but i would like it to be done more chronologicaly and maybe focused on a certain topic but maybe it was in purpose to make it a suprise
OMG I love this videooo!
This is awesome!!!
Awww this just made me really sad...
Ce genre de vidéo sur Hétalia sont juste sublimes, j'aime vraiment beaucoup ! °^°
(et la partie sur Ukraine, j'ai réussis à avoir quelques frissons !)
*Slow clapping* So epic!
Flawless.
I'm crying.
I think it's because all of our countries were built on bloodshed and wars of our ancestors that we value peace and treasure our history
I cry so hard. Historical part of fandom is beautiful, but it's also very sad.. 😢
123 years :') thats imposible... Poland rise up after 123 years...
wow this is amazing *^*
love this~ its epic`
I can't help but feel that I leaned a lot in this one video! It helped that it was Hetalia!
The text is too blurry or difficult to see at times which makes me sad qwq.
You should have put the Hundred Years War between England and France
Very amazing
Prussia's blue jacket at 1:55 is the exact color of this song is swear... how did you guys find fan art of him with that color? *drools and faints* Thank you from somebody with chromestesia!
Best !
All parts are good =3
Waaaaaaaw. Everyone did a great job. This looks so epic!
the fourth part reminded me of a war between america and Japan where thousands of Japanese soldiers and civilians committed suicide instead of surrendering or being captured
*stares in awe*
What if the creator made a dark version of hetalia movie?
Ya know..2ps and stuff?
That would be awesome~
THIS NEEDS A BUTT LOAD MORE VIEWS
LIKE WTH
THIS IS AMAZING??????!!!!
I really like this MEP, but I'm slightly annoyed that there is no mention of the Winter War.
I was on the break of tears but when I saw the Vietnam War I cried, this is so beautiful but it pains me
I am so glad every Hetalian character is still able to cheerfully smile and act like complete idiots, given what they've all been through.
yeah, that's true. It's nice to see that wars and pain haven't changed their goofiness
Great video! But I have a small question... What does the '1947' during the Cold War part stand for? Is it referring to the Truman Doctrine and Marshall Plan? Or is it referring to Cominform?
Canada participated it WWII
+тнє ℓιттℓє ρєтяα яαℓ Who?
I really wished Hetalia recognized all countries who fought in the war and not just the "main ones"
I want to read that essay about Canada.
Nice
When you think about it, a lot of the stuff happening in the 20th century was only 17 years ago and it's been 75 years since Pearl Harbour. Holy Rome was dissolved in 1806. Napoleon died in about 1722 or 1822 (can't remember which year. It was a while ago I learned about that.) World War 2 and the depression was only about 80 or so years ago. When you think about it, all this stuff happens and no one realizes it was that long ago.
Why aliens fear us.
Idiot, alien don't fear us. They see us as savages worse than animals.
Why would much more clever and powerful species fear us?...
I FOUND IT ONCE MORE
What's the song?
no Canadian history?? ;-; oh okay...
Sad ... ;3;
But no France :/
My favorite countries are Tibet, Hong Kong and Manchuria.
