regardless what anyone might say, tony ran sunrise and i ran unit 4 jarvis ran biology and we all did a fantastic job pulling off some of the best parties london has ever seen.the parties will go down in history.respect tony.
Remember Tony was in his early 20s when he organised these events. In this day of mass corporate sponsorhip, what promoters like him achieved in the circumstances was truly amazing.
I went to every Sunrise party and them some.. I worked for Sunrise ..Tony was a friend from school, and yes, he/we did throw the best parties ever.. Lea Bridge Road, Hackney... NYE 88/89?? Now that was one hell of a night.... when these parties were illegal they were brilliant, soon as people started getting licensed events and everyone & anyone with a pair of decks tried to put a night on the real scene died... BIG UP to all the people who REALLY were there... You all made those nights rock!!
I was there too, so much so I wrote a diary called Strobe Steppa in 89' and the very next day when I came home did 10 page write up of this party. Tony really is on another level from the rest as far as party organisation is concerned.. I had the best days of my life, I danced the radio rental all fuckin night like it was the last day on earth. I still have all the original flyer from 89' laminated and framed. Absolutely priceless days of dance for those who were there back then ❤️🎶❤️
Imagine living near an air field then being angry about a one off party ? When i look back at those fantastic times ,,,,,,i often think Wouldn't it be great to be young again now,,,,then say out LOUD ARE YOU F☺☺KIN MAD?? ,,,,, HELL NO!,,,,, as i gaze around my living room my daughter staring at her phone and the rest of em Waiting for google box ?? ,,,,,,i smile to myself. DW NORFOLK U.K.
Ecstasy Wrappers. More classic propaganda from the Sun How could anyone take that mob seriously after their handling of the hillsborough disaster. They are still spouting out the same old pish in 2010.
It was an amazing night, Tony/Sunrise were the best at what they did which was giving people a good time somewhere and something no where else was providing, although Genesis, Biology and Energy parties were also very good back then there are drugs everywhere you go - there is no escaping drugs its just up to the the person whether they are going to use them or not. The Suns front page read "Ecstasy Airport" lol, due to the tin foil squares. if they were used to wrap pills then they would have been all creased up and its not the tin foil you get from the shop its a very thin shiny material that's used for the laser effect's.When you were into this scene you can see how stupid the Sun reporter's are and the story was it really is laughable at what they are trying to claim. Thatcher and her cronies had the promoter's to thank for the demise in the football scene as Acid House and raves were directly involved in the demise of the football boy!!!!

'rich kid' or not, the guy knew how to throw a fucking party by the looks of things. Wish I could have been at a few of the Sunrise events.
